I want to also add one more thing. So far, in defense of Shelby's innocence I have heard the following:
BTC doesn't have a 'reputation' like that ie: no rumors, previously.
"I know Jerry" he would never do that. (Does he have cameras in Shelby's house? I don't get it...)
I know Shelby, SHE works so hard. (working hard can be a sign of doping since drugs allow faster recovery).
It was just a trace amount! (IT. WAS. NOT.)
The scientist, Ayotte, AIU chose as an expert witness is a liar (this I accept. This is the only part of it that can't be explained away and shouldn't have happened).
She expedited the case and didn't get a "fair trial". (Ummm really? Do you REALLY think things would have gone differently given the evidence if this was handled another way?)
Ingested nandrolone isn't really effective (okay, but it could have been a part of a supplement)
They didn't do all the tests Shelby wanted them to do (why on earth would they??? they have enough proof it didn't come from a burrito!)
However. None of these arguments are convincing. None of these arguments address the actual issue at hand.
The Positive A and B sample
IT WASN'T A TRACE AMOUNT
The nandrolone found pig offal would never equate to the nandrolone found in her system. She'd have to eat 3 pig offal burritos for that to happen, not 3/4ths.
The nandrolone found in her system matches synthetic nandrolone not exogenous nandrolone
Oh, and YES Wejo, I do think its very possible Karissa was cheating too. 14:26 last year and an American 3K record. Then this year she runs 14:55 way out of contention for a medal and all of this after Shelby gets popped?
Wejo won’t respond to you because he can’t
