That is the final step in the WADA process. If we are now into "denial of civil rights" or "denial of due process" territory in the US courts, there could be several levels of decision before the "final decision" is reached.
Yeah there is no appeal to Sports bodies like cas anymore. Only to the ordinary suisse court system

Besides, by this ruling everyone who places 7th-11th in ht 3 can appeal and they will have to advance them to the sf stage.

She lost her appeal. The only irrational behavior is saying that multiple courts who examined hard data and test results all got the wrong ruling, but an internet sleuth who has never been within 300 miles of Shelby actually knows what she's doing.
These guys don't even sleuth anything. They just childishly speculate on things -- things that Houlihan and her lawyers didn't even raise -- and conclude their speculations show her innocence.
Any dopers looking to come out of retirement? It is open season now.
Shame on USATF for allowing a CONVICTED doper to run.

Active whining, complaining about unfairness, and obfuscation. So, willl this go all the way to the Supreme Court before USATF accepts WADA's final decision?
So the USATF would have no problem with any athlete who tests positive for any PED before the Olympics to continue to compete in the Olympics until that athlete exhausts all of their appeal avenues? This is where we are at now?
I don't think that under World Athletics rules, USATF is allowed to let a runner who has been found guilty by CAS to run.
So I think that something else is going on, most likely a decision by a US Court that has jurisdiction over Eugene, Oregon.
she is going to get spat on or pushed at the start line. Her competitors will not stand for this
She was ruled ineligible to compete in the OLY -- doesn't matter what some little court in Eugene rules, if that's where they're trying to do.
I was disappointed but not surprise when news of her positive test broke.
I’m not overly critical of athletes who cheat so they can compete at the top level, but this move is the move of a scumbag.
I have NO respect for her, Flanagan, Schumacher or BTC anymore, disgraceful move.
In USATF’s bylaws, are scratches not final once you scratch, no matter the circumstance? I really don’t know and figure someone could answer faster than I could find.

I understand. But the meet director of the Olympic Trials legally can't ignore a US Court order. He has to let Houlihan run. But after the Olympic Trials are over, he is out of the picture and he can let all the lawyers fight it out.

You'll have to find the rule book on Nike athletes, it's slightly different than everyone else's

Yes. But I don't think that Houlihan actually scratched herself. I think that USATF scratched Houlihan. So it's not like Houlihan said "I'm out, no, wait a second, I want to be back in."

Post of the year!!! And it's an Olympic year!!!!

seems Magness just tweeted the same thing:

Someone in Houlihan’s heats need to take one for the team here. Just trip her up or give a little shove into the infield.
Sounds bad but it’s for the greater good of this country and it’s reputation. USATF is disgracing itself with the decision to let her compete. She needs to be stopped before the finals.
I don't think the USATF decided. It looks like a judge decided.
Hopefully they move an extra person through in each round she qualifies in.
Treat her like she isn't there.

Kate supports Shelby. Look at her comments on Chris Derrick and Shayla Houlihan's posts.
