It's getting even weirder. It sounds like DOJ might have an open and shut case of witness tampering against Trump. And he's a clear and present danger to do it again. If the evidence is strong they may need to arrest him soon in order to protect ongoing investigations.
Witness tampering either has evidence which confirms it or no evidence to confirm it. There's typically no in between. For instance, if Trump left a voicemail asking the witness not to testify or even implied the same there's a strong case. A simple phone call to the witness isn't going anywhere particularly if they didn't speak at that point.
No, evidence of witness tampering, or evidence of anything, is not as binary as you claim. Calling a witness a day before the witness is scheduled to testify is good evidence of tampering, especially when the same call, if it was non-tampering, could have been made the day after testifying ("You lying creep! I never threw the food directly at Giuliani! Why did you say that?!").
Common mob tactic was to visit witnesses the day before and see if they "needed anything." It's basically letting the person know you are watching, and know how to find them, without saying anything else. Used as evidence in court often.

The "witness tampering" thing may be more significant than it appears in the sense that it's a pretty simple case for a prosecutor to make. Much like Al Capone going down on tax evasion charges.
Be sure if this, democrat trash, payback is coming for you.
It's not Biden's Justice Department first of all. It is just the Justice Department, you doorknob. Secondly, learn to write a coherent sentence, you absolute moron bigot.
The issue is will the DOJ begin a criminal investigation into Trump. The evidence so far supports - even warrants - it. There will be more evidence. The Attorney will be aware of the stakes in seeking to prosecute a former President. It will be a case the DOJ couldn't afford to lose.

Can you elaborate? I haven't seen anyone call it open and shut yet. I hope you are right. So far I only know about a phone call that was made that wasn't answered, and legal experts I heard talk about it said that's not enough. Is there more info?

An indictment is never that simple, especially when it's the former president.
As I understand it, this was a call to a low level staffer. Just the fact that Trump tried to make contact could (should?) be construed as witness tampering because he would have no innocent reason to make the call.
If Trump knew this person was about to testify, and he tried to contact this person, and he has no good explanation, then Trump should be taken off the streets immediately.
Much like Republicans distancing themselves from GWB after the lies about wmd became exposed to all, now is the time for Republicans to distance from trump. Turn off fox. Get some sunshine. Go read foreign news takes on all this. Cleanse your brain with the light of reality.
I bet they are already reading a lot of foreign news takes such as this one...

First of all, that video is fake. That is not Pam Hemphill. The real Pam Hemphill weighs about 50 pounds more. She is from Idaho.
Second of all, Hemphill is going to FCI Dublin, which is basically like going to Mona's Spa in Porfea. Lori Loughlin went to FCI Dublin, for Christ's sakes. They have bundt cakes on Sunday mornings. You can see the goddam FCI Dublin tennis courts on Google Earth!
Third (of all), Pam Hemphill pled guilty. She admitted all evidence, including that she took all the selfies of her in the Capitol building which she posted on Facegram.
Fourth, Pam Hemphill declared "It's a war!" when she tussled with a Capitol security officer. That is an affirmative declaration to an officer of the United State of America.
Fifth, Pam Hemphill's own children dropped the dime on her. They narc'ed her out to the Feds, because they couldn't stand the old battleaxe. The alleged grandchildren agreed with Pam Hemphill's childrens' decision to turn in Pam Hemphill to the Feds for adjudication and punishment for her offences against the United States of America.

That's not at all describing an open and shut case.
Secret Service deleted texts from Jan 5 and 6. Because the texts documented Trump treason, or because the texts documented SS complicity in Trump treason? Can these be retrieved?
An MSNBC host Tweeted criticism at Elon Musk. He responded to her. Then she went on TV whining that he was bullying her. The cry bully phenomenon is very real: https://t.co/YtvJwLvaFl

They deleted all texts that referred to Trump's attack on the Secret Service agent on January 6. I think they deleted all texts related to Giuliani too.
Some say Jeff Clark ordered the deletion. There is no way to get the texts back. They are lost in the ether of wretched souls.

True, but if the three elements in my last sentence are there then it's enough to haul him before a judge. And if they can be proven in court then it's enough to put Trump away for awhile.
Lol now making a phone call is a criminal conspiracy?!
A phone call to a witness before they provide testimony that is possibly negative to the caller will be looked at suspiciously. Adverse inferences will be drawn.
Trump criticized Steve "Smelly" Bannon publicly for his appearance and personal bathing habits. David Schoen, who previously represented Trump, now represents Bannon. Schoen was friends with Jeffrey Epstein and is Chairman of the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA).
