30' w/u, 8 x ~300 m hill, 25' c/d.
Felt good!
Fell off the web for a couple of days. Where was I:yesterday, weird asymetric 12K progression, should have started at 5:30/km to 4:00/km on trails. To be with some buddies did 5K first from 4:30 to 4:00 and then 7k from 5:30 to 4:30/km. Kinda screwed up but i wanted to run with some friends who were half-way into the workout;Tuesday: some 7x400m on trails, one way uphill the other obviously downhill, 1:25 on average, 1:10 recovery. 10x100m striders, we call them "Allunghi" pronounced Al-loon-ghee (thought you might want to know...)Monday: easy 50 minutes on trails, wery rainy very wetLast Sunday: i can't rememberToday: so far, bike commute to work.Next Sunday: might run a training halfmara with a friend who is running with a blind runner. Planning to go at 4:30/km in view of RomaOstia 2008 coming up...Running is good for youPS. I suppose the above could have been at least four/five separate entries to the delight of thread record seekers. But strictly in post-modernist terms, this does not strike me as a thread overwhlemingly about racing, more about racing... So it came out as one large chunk... this time anyway...

32 minutes easy yesterday
I had an apicoectomy yesterday at the dentists. NO running for a few days.
NOT FUN.
38' this AM in the snizzle
Thursday: 55' easy, heavy lifing, massage (very deep and thorough!)
Friday: 45' tempo
Saturday: Off
Keep those great reports coming! We've got a great thread going here!
something worked:
cross country at 10am, grass, barefoot, not a strong field, still came in third, good progression with strong finish:
4.7km in 17:11. It might be a pr of sorts.
The good part is that it came after an easy 7km in the park at 7:30 am with a couple of buddies who i never get to see. And a 40 minute bike ride to the venue of the race which was relatively taxing.
Bike commute back to office for Sunday shift.
Will bike home.
Injury free.
76 min on the treadmill yesterday. none today.
Walked the dog a mile. My head and jaw are starting to feel better, at last.
...and the Sun is out, Praise the Lord.
Got up late today. There was a nice incentive to stay in bed! :-) Also, had a late night. But got in about 45' easy before I had to give my guest a ride home. The morning shower was especially nice. :-)
Keep up the good work, all. Who's going to be #1000?

nice to know one of the posters on this thread got lucky!
This week is my highest ever by about 6-8 miles (previous best 64, have 63 so far and have not run yet today), but I feel a little sick and may only get in 7-9 today.
Jan. 28 - Feb. 03. Two days of running, strained hip flexor. Slipped on icy steps.
Feb. 04 - Feb. 10. Yesterday (Saturday) back to running, really slow & easy for 12.5 min. Today for 15.5 min. Hip flexor is feeling better.
Was off for 10 days save for that one day I tried for a few minutes.
I was planning on doing about 8 today, but what I thought was a hedge at the turn around point, according to google maps, turned out to be a stream, so I missed it and kept going for about 5 min before I realized my mistake. So it was 9.3 in about 71 min. Just missed being out in some nasty wind and snow, too.
Dodging the weather today, just some strength and stretching work. Yesterday 11.5 miles on skate skiis over a trail named "Nutcracker". My bride came along and toughed it out, no "whining", incredible.!!
terrible week last week. haven't run since thursday: 7 miles in 49:00 on the treadmill
32' before the sun this morning...cut short because it was damn cold
Running Dogg, i gotta ask you this... we all have things that we get psyched about... i for example about my kids being well, about my running going well, about the weather being great... and there could be more, some intimate in nature... which indeed i may end up sharing with that whole portion of the world that actually reads this board...
My question is... that you seem to gen mostly excited with double-entendre innuendo... massages, bed incentives...
Can you elaborate on this a little?
Do you feel this is the sort of gluant the DYRT thread needs to be kept going? Or is it just the way you are or like to be?
today: 75 minutes variations, from 4:40 to 4:00 per km on trails. Feeling rather swell.
Ran a easy 45 min run with some drills at the end of my run.
Sunday was a easy 45 jog and drills.
Saturday a mile in 4:53.
point, haven't you realized after all this time that everything RD posts is a lie to boost his own self worth? now he'll say that you=me=skuj.
