Thanks for those splits. The two women battling for medals against Bol really ran their hearts out. It was 48.9 for Anning and 49.1 for Mawdsley. Bol just measured them and did enough at 48.6.
Adeleke was only slightly faster than Mawdsley at 49.0. But like others I don't understand why Adeleke doesn't anchor.
The key split toward Netherlands' rally was Lisanne de Witte at 50.2 on third leg. That is excellent for her, at nearly 32 years old and basically a 52 flat runner during individual races.
The Dutch made that silver closer than it needed to be by using Klaver on lead instead of second. But it is somewhat understandable because Klaver has had loads of trouble going against Adeleke on second leg. I think the Dutch coaches intentionally avoided that potential problem by using Klaver first. She went 50.3
