Allie Ostrander and Phily Bowden both have credentials far beyond Seth's. Bowden sells coaching services (but isn't taking new clients), Ostrander doesn't. Meaghan from Believe in the Run has credentials similar to Seth's (2:46 marathon, 6 mins off OTQ vs Seth 2:23 marathon, 5 minutes off OTQ). She also doesn't sell coaching services.
By credentials, I was referring to the fact that Seth's college coach is a legend.
There is an art to coaching. It's more than just drawing up training plans and giving pep talks before races. My HS coach was a multiple time All-American in cross country and track under a Hall of Fame legendary distance running coach. Unfortunately, even with advice from their former Hall of Fame coach, my HS coach was absolutely terrible at coaching. Great person. Great runner. Terrible coach.

Seth definitely couldn't coach. He would give terrible suggestions and he is unable to take feedback.
I totally agree with the general letsrun opinion that hiring a YouTuber to write you a training plan is kinda suspect.
Having said that, for people who totally don’t know what the heck they’re doing (which was me three years ago), it can be useful and valuable to have someone who knows the basics of running, match you to a standard-issue training plan.
The guy I used was offering a 10-week training plan for about a hundred bucks. It just gave me a reasonable framework to start with — a long run once a week, two days off a week, a medium long run, and easy runs. Strides thrown in for variety, incorporating a little bit of tempo work over time.
Since this is totally anonymous, I can say, I came in with some weird, weird ideas. Before buying a training plan, I would run for as maybe 12 or 15 minutes. (Because I was afraid of getting injured?? I have no idea!) But I would run twice a day. (I heard the word “doubles” somewhere and thought that was a great idea!)
Anyway, I literally had to hire someone off the internet to tell me to make my easy runs about 30 minutes, and my medium-long runs about 45 minutes to start (can’t remember the details), and build some base mileage over the course of the ten weeks. No “doubles”.
I’m sure he must’ve thought I was a weirdo, but looking back, I don’t think I got scammed or overcharged or sold a pile of wishes!

I liked your new vid. It seems like you want some feedback for your longer form stuff. Anyway, I liked it and will keep watching.
thanks! I really don't like being in front of the camera. If I could only be behind the camera, I would. So thanks for letting me know you don't think its complete trash.
PS - anyone want to take over playing the Serious Runner character? It can be a swap like James Bond, Dr. Who, or the Democratic Party Nominee?
It's time to catch up with our favorite running YouTubers!
Kofuzi ran a 5k in the heat and posted a short video about it. He went out too fast and bonked. But he still managed a 19:48.
The Greatest of All Time, Still the Original Running YouTuber, is on a bit of a racing binge. It's uphill racing season in Colorado and Seth seems to be having fun.
Spencer Brown and Allie Ostrander are bidding adieu to Seattle. They're moving to Colorado, which seems to be somewhat of an epicenter of running YouTubers.
Phily Bowden is flying to Arizona for a 10 week training camp and racing a marathon. She I think I think said what marathon it was, but I can't remember and I don't want to rewatch the 20 minute video.
The Believe in the Run crew are loving Puma's new shoe. And wearing PUMA t-shirts.
And the Doctors of Running crew is now sponsored by skratch.
And that's all the time we have for running YouTubers this week!

Ben Parkes - whilst back running has given up on trying to film session, instead favourite to churn out barely-worn shoe reviews and repeating previous video ideas about 'best gear from X'
FOD Runner - today went out to break 33:00 at the Saucony London 10K and ran... 33:52. Splitting 16:2X en-route so was never really on pace
Spencer Brown/TAS - also did another video of 'how I improved my 5K by 3mins' which ofc to anyone who is a subscriber knows is a huge clickbait title to attract new viewership from unknowns, because he didnt improve his 5K at all, he just returned from not training. Disappointing tactics to try and garner attention as if he was doing/did something monumental.
On a more positive note, I have to say much to my own surprise I have been truly loving Clayton Young's videos leading into Paris. They're very well done, insightful and not brash at all. Also the clip in his most recent video of Coach Ed E watching Corrigan get the Steeple standard was one of the best things I've watched in a long time

FOD Runner drinking game on his next video. Every time our boy mentions "illness" and "heart rate" take a shot. You'll be ****ing dead.

I saw a thumbnail of Floberg's "Can I break 16 in the 5k?" video. Based on clothing/aesthetics/tone I initially mistakenly thought it was a Serious Runner video.
I like Michael Otteson's new series about trying to make 10K from race winnings in a year. Former BYU xc guy. 1:03 half, 2:18 marathoner. His shoe reviews are not my favorite but I like his insight into training stuff and racing from someone faster than me.

He’s fairly new to the YT scene but is already putting out some great content. Seems like a nice guy and is proper fast.
The meltdown currently happening from Welsh Runner and his partner Kelly (Kellogs on the Run or something asinine) is something to see.
From what I've pieced together, Kelly did little-to-no training for an 70.3 triathlon with a sea swim. Wasn't swimming fast enough in training sessions with recoveries to make the cut off (especially when she has to swim in the sea, non stop), barely any riding, running nonsensical - which is par for the course it seems with her other training.
She then obviously gets timed out on the swim, but claims she was within the cut off by a few seconds. Video footage shows her in some amount of distress leaving the water so that + being right on the cut off is an obvious DQ. She's now taken aim at Ironman, with her supporters backing her up.
They've also blocked anyone that's liking comments which amount to anything less than absolute praise - calling people trolls for asking if she was really ready for a sea swim etc.
Instagram and Strava. All the dissenting voices and people not giving absolute adoration about the magnificent DNF have been wiped at this point - followed by the classic whiney post about trolls.
Assuming there wont be a video, Matt is one of the classic youtubers that wont upload a video if he has a bad race.
I think the worst type of Youtuber/running influencer are the ones upload their entire lives to social media, take anything less than complete support, and think they live in a world where they can post however much they want but no one can say anything remotely critical or questioning. There's a simple solution to not hearing anything negative and it involves deleting some apps off your phone.
