Niwot boys were a big surprise here. They won both the sweepstakes and championship races. If you look at the results of both races they had 11 runners ahead of highly ranked 2nd place team ThunderRidge’s 3rd runner. None of them are seniors.
I think Herriman and Niwot will be the best 2 teams in both Southwest and the nation next year. Herriman has 4 juniors in their top 7.
I'm curious why anyone would think AF, the defending SW champs, who return their entire varsity squad wouldn't be favored to win. Herriman tied them in an early season meet, so one could argue it would be a toss up between those 2. But Niwot? Really?
They're a good team, but you're betting Niwott will beat 2 loaded teams with legendary coaches that both finished top 5 last year and have completely reloaded?

The poster said NEXT year, not THIS year...Niwot's top five consists of one frosh, two sophs and two juniors - plus their depth is insane they had 9 runners under 16 minutes at this meet, none of which are seniors.
Shows what a joke course Alabama is... today only one under 15:00... 14:57, 15:10, 15:33, 15:34, 15:53. Much more normalized to a traditional Belen program.
CBA strikes me as a mature team with lots of experience at NXN
Yep. They probably won’t make a bunch of posts on here about how insane their speed ratings are, how they are better than Newbury Park, and how their top 5 are going to break 4 in the mile, etc.
starting to see a bunch of posts about how good they are on here… seems like they are getting a big head. let’s hope they don’t bomb nxn else they will be the next Jesuit la

CBA and Southlake Carroll underperformed last year at NXN because both teams had some guys sick. Hopefully they don’t underperform this year. Both teams have 4 guys with NXN experience so that will help
MileSplits official 20. Boys Varsity A raw results for the 2023 New Balance Shore Coaches Invitational, hosted by Shore Coaches Association in Holmdel NJ.
heard course was muddy and sloppy but it's possible both these teams are top 10 would be nice to see a video from a cart or something but this looks like a small race
