As many have stated already, there is nothing that will change the mind of a trumper that lives in a right wing news ecosystem and buys the conspiracies. Exhibit A is the fact that Trumpers are now dismissing the actual confession of the perp. Sit with that one a while. They want their. conspiracies to be true so bad that they think they know more about the event than the guy that actually committed the crimes.
Keep this fact in mind when you might be tempted to debate a Trumper on his other beliefs. Jan 6. Election Fraud. Inflation. Covid. Russia. They are not living in reality and nothing that is shown to them will change their views.
Just can't admit that the video you posted shows a cop stating that Pelosi and the intruder were fighting over a hammer!
Amazing
I'm not even going to admit I posted a video, much less one about underwear and hammers.
"DEPAPE also later explained that by breaking Nancy’s kneecaps, she would then have to be wheeled into Congress, which would show other Members of Congress there were consequences to actions."
So you cannot admit you posted the following video at 4:46 EDT yesterday in which the cop made the claim?
San Francisco Police Chief William Scott identified the man as David Wayne DePape. “Our officers tackled the suspect, disarmed him, and took him into custody...

Not only do they have you believing every single official "narrative" (aka lie) they push they have you attacking those who don't buy their BS.

Nothing is more pathetic than the liberal who thinks everyone lives in a bubble but him.
Fox News enrages the moron but he's oblivious that the other 99% of the media is even more biased than Fox from the other direction.

This was a good post. The Trumpers who need their conspiracies to maintain their belief in their distorted realities think differently than most normal people. A couple things will be very characteristic of their thinking style. (1) Vigilance, it takes much continued effort to keep reality from seeping into their consciousness. They will post frequently and spend much time searching and researching for some tidbit to support their distorted view. (2) They have selective perception and a very active information filter, information to the contrary is ignored and information that is even remotely in the realm of possibility is thought of as most likely (example - the fake confession argument) (3) The paranoid slant, some bad evil group is behind this like the "liberal media" libs in general, the government.
Any challenge to their belief will cause them to exert more energy trying to protect their distorted view.
The reasons and facts regarding Paul Pelosi's attack are pretty obvious and likely and one needs to stretch and distort to try and not believe it.

You think a mentally ill drug addicted illegal alien who lives in a school bus in Berkeley, CA with a pride and BLM flag out front is a right wing zealot and you think other people are into conspiracies... lol...

Fact free argument.
Was there no security at the Pelosi home?
If there was, how did this guy get in?
If none, why wasn't there any?
Who opened the door while Pelosi and his assailant wrestled for the hammer.
Why was the glass outside the house if there was a break in?
Why are we not being shown the cops bodycam video?

The most politically polarizing media outlet is CNN. Nearly two-thirds of Democrats (66%) rate CNN as trustworthy, compared to 11% of Republicans, a 55-point difference, larger than for any other outlet.

"Alternative facts," a term widely used by the Trump administration. If the facts don't line up with one's agenda, just make new ones.
You are every bit as indoctrinated as you say the "Trumpers" are.
"Weird" how all the justice and carceral reform people are not, as of yet, concerned about DePape's rights as a prisoner.
Interesting SILENCE too as to who his lawyer was when he allegedly confessed so much to the FBI.
(Oh, but he's an illegal Canadian immigrant! He doesn't HAVE "rights"!)
What isn't weird is how the entire media has mobilized to try and exploit this mentally ill homeless person in order to maximize their benefit on election day.
Crimes by mentally ill homeless people and illegals happen every single day in California and the Democrats have never given a damn before. Forgive me if I don't think Democrats care now either.
I haven't really followed this story, but have two comments.
1. When an event/accident occurs, I will often look at the situation and ask, "What is the takeaway for me? What did they do wrong? How can I avoid that situation?" It was this...
2. Paul Pelosi is married to one of the most polarizing figures in the United States. He should have NEVER gone to investigate breaking glass in the middle of the night without a firearm. Without a weapon, he should have hidden in a closet and called 911.
I have what I call my "10 foot rule." I'm never more than 10 feet away from a loaded firearm anywhere in my house. I exaggerate a little because it's maybe 15 feet away from the corners of the den, but you get the idea. Never allow an intruder into your home to get between you and your firearm.
That's because "When you need the police in seconds, they're only minutes away."
