Yeah I agree. MN doesn’t have as many classes as others. Virginia has 6. California has 5 divisions, not only that but CA doesn’t have NXR, so which teams from CA go to NXN depends on state results in the merge. State meet is late in California
Tell that to the Armstrong kid who ran 16:04 and is staying home.
And I have to say, going to that time after being on midpack JV last year is insane. There is also a kid who got 10th last year at state but didn’t even make it this year. That is how tough this section is
ST. PAUL — There were no major surprises and that was a good thing for the fifth-ranked Stillwater boys cross country team, which cruised to the Section 4AAA championship on
Lame take. Plus at least we're not like Iowa, they have 4 classes!
Your defense is to compare your state to Iowa? OK…….
Yeah, you’ve convinced us. Why should there be more than a single class in any state? I mean, 3,000-plus enrollment high schools such as Wayzata or Minnetonka have no advantage whatsoever over the tiniest rural or private schools with just a few dozen in grades 9 - 12, right? Moreover, why should high school leagues limit themselves to just students who reside within state borders? If Jakob decided for some reason that he’d like to be the Minnesota XC champion, that would be great too, right?
Yeah he is looking like Ryan will run. Because he’s telling our alt loyd that he will have a 10% chance of going in. So I guess he’ll have a talk with Ryan soon about it and how he feels going in. Because maybe he was just having some off races and still has that 16:10s possibility like last year. For alternates we are looking at 1. Loyd Laninga 16:45 2. Dylan schneider 16:48 3. Also rendlund talked to Sam fellner who got 16:48 on a (long course) and also downin witch rendlund know is a good runner. But as of Older Fries running at state it’s not a 100%
Aren’t you only allowed 2 alternates for the section / state meet?

It is fine if you want to have more classes but recognize that the value of being the fastest on your block is NOT the same as being the fastest in your city. You have more meaningless champions. It is fine because the sport is not that important but at least let us speak the truth.
Several runners from the northwest suburbs qualified as individuals for the state cross country meet at the Section 5AAA meet in Anoka. Mounds View won the b...
Where is the MN Reve that started this thread? Has been absent for a while. What are your thoughts on the upcoming state championships?
Looking to be a tight team battle between Wayzata / Rosemount / Lakeville North. Minnetonka will need to find 3 guys to close a gap on Westerlund if they want to win.
I will be posting the predictions for teams and top 25 individuals for aaa boys soon
Some questionable results from lake conference. Jackson Downin from Minnetonka ran 18:38!? He just ran 9:57! What happened. Also what happened to Gilles? And where was the rest of Edina’s varsity team. But very fun to see the results.
Well I figured it out. Heard from someone connected to Tonka that Downin’s iron results came back and they were extremely low. Explains his poor performances recently.

You aren't speaking the truth. You're just another tool who thinks they're funny/interesting on the internet. Keep it up, enjoy yourself while no one else does. We'll keep on discussing the topic at hand.
