Incredible clean performances by Ahmed and Lomong. Hugely impressed.
Wow Uganda have won their most Gold in history.
Wow, Nia Ali for the surprise win!!!! Thought it'd be Williams for sure
GODDESS Nadine Visser only 6th..... *sniffle*
US women's 4x4 lineup is stacked: Francis, McLuaghlin, Muhammad, and Jonathas
That's an entirely different squad from their semis team. I thought there was a limit to the number of runners you can swap between the heats and finals, or maybe I was mistaken?

Surprised that either Okolo or Felix is not in there instead of Muhammad. They both ran sub-50 splits over the course of the Champs. Muhammad has not really proven her flat 400 speed.
Harrison just isn’t a championship runner.
Ali has been in great form all year long.
But Brianna McNeal not being their due to a false start hurts.

Nevermind, didn't see that Muhammad has run 50.60 this year.

Not really. That is her THIRD FS DQ this year...at some point if you can't pass the intelligence test you don't get to play.
Scoring this like a combined-sex T&F meet (ignoring the road events), the team standings heading into the final relays are:
1. USA 322
2. Kenya 113
3. Jamaica 112
4. Great Britain 77
5. Ethiopia 74
6. Germany 64.5
7. China 52
8. Poland 51.5
9. Canada 51
10. "Russia" 47
Jamaica will move into #2 unless dual disasters strike in the 4x4s. Of course if you include marathons and race walks it's a different story
