How many times did you have to redo 2nd grade?

only 2 ways this goes:
1. you date the friend and she is into you and tells your wife that, your wife says so what about my friend is turning men off on dates, you answer truthfully, she tells her friend and you come across as an arrogant SOB how dare you say that about my friend - no good for you out of that
2. you date the friend and she is not into you, and tells your wife, your wife agrees that you are not an attractive male anymore - no good for you out of that
For the first date, take her to an upscale seafood restaurant that is just up the street from a happening spot that places techno music.
Order a bottle of Rose.
+++++++++++
What is the deal with Rose? When I was in college, I did some free tutoring for an older student (which means like late 20s in college) and she gave me a bottle of Rose. I had no clue being super naive at the time. I took it home to my Dad and even he knew--laughed and said she was hitting on you big time son!!

I'll keep this short to avoid accidentally posting any personal information; my wife wants me to go on a few dates with her best friend. The friend is a career woman who has always had trouble keeping men (though never getting them) and always seems to fall for guys who don't treat her well. My wife is convinced that her friend just doesn't know what it's like to go on a date with a man who is kind hearted and respectful but still fun and playful, and thinks that if she could just go on a few normal "pretend dates" with me, her friend would have better luck in the dating world. So her idea is that I get dressed up, take her friend to a nice restaurant, maybe go for a walk in the park afterwards or something like that, then drop her off at home, peck on the cheek, and go home. I am, needless to say, very uncertain that this will be a) helpful to her friend and b) a good idea in general. Am I being irrational here, or are my (admittedly vague) concerns justified?
This is one of the dumbest ideas in the history of letsrun.com

So let me get this straight. Your wife is basically asking you to cheat on her with her friend?
That's messed up man. I mean seriously that's really freaking stupid. You must have some serious issues with your relationship if its gotten to the point where your wife is ASKING you to have an affair. I'd say go see a counselor and ask your wife if she has been cheating on you. If she considers it ok for you to smooch her friend who knows what else is fair game in her mind.
If the wife is aware, and it was her idea, and there is nothing sexual between the guy and the friend, is that seriously cheating to you people? The word cheating means breaking the rules; what rules would OP be breaking?
If you are going to go with a Rose, and there is no reason not to, try one (or both) of these:
Domaine de la Mordorée Tavel “La Dame Rousse†2015
Domaine Lafond Roc-Epine Tavel Rosé 2015

The above is 100% absolutely unequivocally not me. To those asking, yes my wife's friend knows about this and my wife says she would be willing to try a few dates. I haven't had any direct communication with the friend about this. To those saying my wife is already cheating; doubtful. We have a good marriage, are happy together, fulfilled in every way. And I don't think she's baiting me. She's not into head games, never has been. Neither of us is the jealous type anyway. It's a day later and I'm still at a bit of a loss about what to do, but am leaning towards doing this but with very clear rules that everybody agrees to together, in person, with a predetermined number of dates that we will not exceed no matter what. Does that make sense?
This is not a good idea.
Really disappointed that nobody has made a "taking my best friend's wife on a date" parody thread.

I am calling BS on this post. Very few people on Let's Run are married or even can hold a long term girlfriend. No way they have a wife that is encouraging an affair or a threesome. Entertainment Value - 6/10
Somebody already did.

Of course it's BS but still fun.
We need and update. And pics.
Any woman who is like a 4 or better gets offered d*ck 20+ times a day. Your wife's friend is either attracted to douches, is a psycho once in a relationship, or is just plain boring. Going on a couple of dates with you won't change any of that.
The right decision:- get your Wife's Friend to read "The Four Agreements" and show her why she is picking what she thinks she deserves in Men.
The Wrong decision:- Get a Free meal and Treat her like the other Ass Masters she usually Bonks and blow your Beans on her New Carpet Lickerty Split.
Alternative decision:- Leave house, cancel date with Wife's friend go for long uninterrupted run and finish in a Bar for a nice Cool Brewski,
Avoiding all crazy Nags for just one precious evening, get home tell Wife her friend cancelled, go to bed without the Post date interview, Sleep peacefully.
Fcuk the sh!t out of her!!!
You're an idiot troll. A wife who gets her husband to date her friends is a pimp.
And you are a loser. Stop wasting everyone's time on this forum.
Just do it. Take her out for a nice seafood dinner and never call her again.

Don't forget the bottle of rose!!!
No way this ends well. Also evaluate your marriage.
Treat it like a proper first date. 2 in the pink 1 in the stink.
