He is also behind Hunter's credentials and watching the video it was not raining when he ran the 3:59 mile. It rained earlier

Your point is made. He sucks and should quit ASAP as per the critique of an LRC anon.

blah blah blah
Webb was way more developed by his senior year. Look at Slag's development over the past 3 years. Wouldn't be surprised to see him go 47:xx in the 400 and 1:46 this year if he has comp.

what makes you think that?
he has slower 800m, 1500m, indoor mile, outdoor mile, 3k, 3200m, and 5k times than Drew Hunter.
hunter is stronger aerobically but yet as fast as him in the 800m and has more experience in big races.
would love to hear your rationale....and don't say because he ran 48.5 in the 400m

Slagowski wasn't towed to his times like Hunter. You are obviously a non-competitor, likely another heavy legged "distance runner" with no speed at all.

It has been proven several times that runners do better either right after it rains or while it rains.
See: Verzbicas sub-4, Rosas two-mile
It's science. Rain aides performance

Would you please show some published science or medical journal studies to provide some science evidence for your claim?
Here's a good starting article:
http://co.milesplit.com/articles/70896/barometric-pressure-and-distance-performance
Are you kidding?
An article of ideas from a coaching clinic. He discards data for arbitrary reasons like "too much adrenaline at the state meet", and makes arbitrary time cutoffs to discard other data. A total joke.
And by the way... co.milesplit.com articles do not count as published science or medical journal studies published in actual science or medical journals.
Please produce some actual published research from actual science or medical journals.

Hunter has run all his best races (except for his 1:48 800) against pros. Slag has run basically solo time trials on shitty tracks and less than ideal conditions. If he isn't included in the Pre field it's a crime. Let the best run against the best, and let the best man win.
Back on topic:
Get Michael "The Big" Slagowski in the race. He is the fastest High School 800m runner in the country now, after his 1:48.36 yesterday, which was just 1 hour after he won the 1600m, and of course with a 3200m win the night before…as a warmup.
Yea. He's pretty fast.

Maybe.
The key point is that we need more threads on Michael Slagowski.
OK?

For the love of Nike, get Slag in the Mile.
Unless something has changed from when I was in HS, and also since they split the 5A/4A state meets, the 1600 follows the 800 in Idaho. If a 3200 is contested, it's the 2nd to last event. If no 3200, it's the 1st event. On 2 day meets, it's still the 2nd to last event.
I just checked. I stand corrected.

Weather will be crappy in Boise on Friday/Saturday, so unlikely to see anything too crazy fast. By crappy I mean 10-15 mph winds, scattered thunderstorms, raining and highs in the 60's with lows in the 40's.
Seriously, are these kids really not going to be in the same race?
@premeetdirector seems to Tom's handle but no posts in 2 years.
He's in.
When you list YOUR name and credentials, you can talk. Until then, suck it!!!!

C'mon guys....he's in! Whether he is racing Hunter or Tamagno, don't know yet.
Dyestat says he's in the national mile with Tamagno. Hunter's in the bowerman.
The point is that while I am a big believer in Slagowski and think he has not come close to reaching his potential in a high school mile, or in an 800, some posts comparing him favorably to Webb were overreaching at this point because they seemed to have forgotten just what a monster Webb was.
