Tuka took it! Fast!
Soul Man is now a sub-3:30 and sub-1:43 guy. What a BOSS.
Bosse the Boss got owned. Ran another Duane-esque race. Bad idea.
TUKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Boris Berian 1:43.34 shows he's not a one hit wonder. Curious why he sucked it up at USAs.

Not surprisingly, a lot of the previous "best times for place" were from the 2014 version of this race. But many went down today. Best times for 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th and 10th now all come from Monaco 2015.
Not sure about the others, but the record for 3rd is 3:28.51 so that wasn't broken.
http://www.alltime-athletics.com/m_1500ok.htmBerian time? Looked fast….1:43:34!!
Tuka 1:42.51!!!!
Hutchings "It's almost an unvelievable improvement".
Tha'ts basically the sentiment I had.
The state of our sport is when you come from nowhere to 1:42.51, the drug testers need to be ready. I was pumped to see that but my god was that unreal. Wow.
Great race.
Berian PBS!!!
Looks like a skinny Jacob Burcham
Amel Tuka with a HUGE final 100 to take the win in the 800. You don't see someone run down Nijel Amos very often in the final 100.
1:42.51 for Tuka, 1:42.66 for Amos, 1:42.97 PR for Souleiman
Berian 1:43.34 PR for 4th. How did this guy not make the final at USAs?
Boris Berian replaced David Mack as the 5th fastest American ever.
GO SCHIPPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the times these people are running - looking good for a Jenny S shot at the AR

So that's a complicated way of saying this was the deepest 1500m race ever.
Berian now #5 all-time U.S.
Only Johnny Gray, Duane Solomon, Nick Symmonds and Mark Everett are faster.

I feel like he would've made the team were it just one final with the fastest (by entry time) 8 people, but making it through the rounds is a skill he needs to have. Hopefully he can work on it for next year; he's a stellar talent.
