Correct...just no resting on ground. As long as you break the plane then fully extend you are good....but you have a grader watching you and some will give you a no rep so I ensure my form is exaggerated. ..shirt just about touches ground to damn nearly pushing my body off ground. If I did bare minimum standard form I might get up to 90....but I've already maxed the event and still have situps and run to do.
If I want to make pushups harder I do burpee pushups or burpee pushup pullups..those are fun
