I saw that after I posted. Pretty incredible that Willis finished 7th with a time that would have never finished lower than third in any other race in history.
Lower than fourth, you mean.

WOW what an incredible 1500m. Kiprop paid for it in the end as did Souleiman, but a tremendous run by Kiplagat. So many sub-3:30s... Willis continues his year of PBs, and Manzano looks like Hoka has rejuvenated him. A nice PB for Centro as well tho he'll likely be disappointed. Still, a good result given that he missed all of indoors. will his base be around for later summer, we'll find out.
THIS MEET IS STACKED!!

Yes.
1. Lagat 3:29.30
2. Maree 3:29.77
3. Webb 3:30.54
4. Wheating 3:30.90
5. Manzano 3:30.98
6. Spivey 3:32.02
7. Centrowitz 3:31.09
8. Holman 3:31.52
9. Scott 3:31.76
10. Krummenacker 3:31.93
When was the last time someone ran a Top-5 time in the US and got 8th in a race? Or a Top-10 time and got 9th?
Amazing race. Bitter reality is that Kiprop going after it cost him his #4 All-Time slot as Kiplagat overtakes his PR.
And to think Leo lost a 3:57 mile race like 6 weeks ago, he's the most consistent, inconsistent racer. His entire season's as a whole are consistently great but riddled with several absolute bombs of races. Glad he nailed a big PR, very deserving.

My bad
Crazy to think that Manzano is one of the fastest Americans ever now... Who's ahead of him?... Lagat, Maree , Webb? ... I think he beat Wheating's time. Anyone else?
Great race!

He's been quite consistent this year. He also has bad allergies in the spring so that affects him.
Huddle sticking her nose in it, looking good so far.
Pole vault view is so weird... you can never see the bar
I guess, if you consider Lagat and Maree to be American.
Huddle and Rowbury could get the AR.
I ahd them at 959 just under 10:00 with 4 laps to go
The only need a 444.
Americans couldn't ask for a better pace.
Leo has worked very hard all spring. His recent workouts look great and have been consistently improving. Leo has been rewarded with his performances at US Nationals and the diamond league events. The Hoka signing and having John Hayes as a coach has given Leo the stability he needs to train effectively. Leo's results will only get better in these next 2 years. Rio Olympics 2016..........

So did Molly Huddle get the AR?!? I had to step away and the race is over... no times yet

I think Huddle got it. Rowbury also had a fantastic time.
