that's frighteningly bold predictions
perhaps bolt may even approach low-20s in upcoming final...
anyhows, if you did the documentary, you shoud make eforts for the complete :
try & obtain his 3'33.1wr & also dusseldorf
it's available
here is how the 2nd biggest ryun sceptic in the world put his money where his mouth was & paid to get the dvd ( 1st sceptic is a complete moron )
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=5070489&page=3Today I got the 1500m race from Düsseldorf in 1967 in pretty good quality on DVD.
Ryun's time at 1100m was around 2:47,7 and at 1200m around 3:01,6/3:01,7.
This means his last lap was around 50,5 and his last 300 around 36,5/36,6.
Very, very impressive. Ryun starts his sprint finish few meters before the 1200m mark, which means he got full spead almost exactly at 1200m - so, it was a 300m sprint finish as exactly as it could be.
I have had big doubts about this reported 300m time for Ryun - but now I have seen it, and it seems to be true. Not 36,4 more like 36,5/36,6.
I don't know if any runner in history could have beaten Ryun on this day
i summarised his following in later post :
Ryun's performance definitely was Beamonesque - at least much better than what I have expected he was capable of.
For me it puts all the other performances from the all-time greats of the last decades in a new context.
I don't know if any runner in history could have beaten Ryun on this day
i suggest you ask for some extra $ from network & also get hold of the dusseldorf vid along with 3'33.1wr one
your documentary wouda been completely useless without them...
