I was hoping, but figured it was all over when she missed the race with Jordan.

this was over when hasay missed the A by 1.4 seconds or whatever it was... erdmann might have hit the B, but no way the A
follow @Flotrack tweeting laps/splits

ok seriously what is actually happening
Well off pace. Running high 80s splits atm. Could very well be her achilles is bothering her too much, or lost too much training because of it.
Will be interested to hear her post race interview.

they need to stop this, she is running on her heels. her achilles isn't something to mess around with. pack it up and live to fight another day.
Right, there's no reason to keep going.
Rojo might be done with his TV show before Erdmann finishes...
She might break 34 minutes, but probably not.
I disagree that she had no chance. She was only a few seconds slower than Hasay coming in, and Alberto thought Hasay wasn't rested enough after she missed the A. So given that, and not knowing about Tara's injury, I gave her a small chance.
it started 40 minutes ago
on the bright side, we win seeing pics like this
Whole thread was worth it for that pic.
Now this is a race bitches!
Portland OR USA 14 July
Portland 10k Chase/Roughrider Twilight Meet
Women 10000 m

Adriënne Herzog NED 30 Sep 85 DNF
It says something that the page has only 584 views.
FT screwed up her chance.

I don't know whether anyone has mentioned that Mary Cain is there. My guess is she'll fly to St. Moritz with Salazar, which makes sense for a seventeen year old.
Think of it as dad paying for her summer track camp. Only she gets a camp at a whole different level.
My understanding is that they girls are all staying with the Salazars and Salazar's daughter is being an sister-host to them.

on pace, hopefully the pacemakers won't screw this up like with Jordan
Hardly. These pacers are the best in Portland and they did a great job. She couldn't hold pace from 7.5-8.5km. If they did such a bad job, they would not be back.
Not sure why she bothered to finish it. Guess I respect her fortitude, but a 34:15 10000 serves no purpose for her.
It served a purpose to finish because it satisfies all those idiot LR posters who put a knock on Centrowitz for not finishing his race. After Centro wisely stepped off the track LR experts informed all of us that the worst thing a runner can do is DNF even when they are having a bad day. So, yes, though she may have exacerbated an Achilles injury, or may just have wasted energy on an obviously futile race, she appeased all the LR posters who will now knock her for being so stupid as to keep running. The only losers here are those LR posters who will always be losers.
Odyssey Runner, The stupid part was having this BS of a race/time trial in the first place given her injury. If she couldn't run with Jordan nothing was going to change in a couple of days. Your comments don't change anything and calling people losers makes you more of loser than them. Nothing wrong with being a Monday morning QB. Why does it bother you people have opinions?
