If you want to succeed in life, you have to stand up for yourself. Sometimes this means that you have to play hardball. Life isn't a popularity contest. The father should do what he had to do and forget the haters.
A Duck
You're a jerk too, most of your posts here are pointless and negative, you rarely contribute in a positive way.
So, there are jerks in the world.
Your comparison was still not valid.
Ok A Duck, now you've got me intrigued. I'll be at the Pre classic this weekend and would love to buy you a beer and try to figure out what makes you tic. It's a complete enigma for me because I'm an unabashed Nike/Rupp/Salazar fanboy but pretty much disagree with you 90% of the time. And truth be told, the other 10% might just be dumb luck.
I didn't get sued for $40,000,000, but I had a similar incident this season. The lead-off on my 4x100m team had a sore hamstring that kept him out of a few races, and the races he did run, he was getting his butt kicked. Meanwhile I had a kid tearing it up in the open 100m who wasn't on the relay team. So I made the switch for Conference and told the two kids we'd have a run-off on the following Monday for a spot in the Sectional meet.
The father of the kid who was replaced called me every night for five days in a row, sent me countless e-mails and text messages, and basically tried to politic his son's spot back on the relay. Only once in literally dozens of messages did he actually say he thought his son was faster.
And guess what? He obviously wasn't. We ran a full second faster at Conference (the first meet where we replaced him), then he got his butt kicked in the race-off, and we ran another third of a second faster at Sectionals to break the school record and qualify for State.
IT'S ALMOST LIKE I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING!!!
Everyone citing his 800 and 5k times is missing the point. From the pictures with the article, the kid THINKS he's a hurdler, running 55m and 400 hurdles. Sounds like the coach wasn't running him there (no 110 times on his resume), and daddy didn't like it.

Hah....Come on Duckie. Don't be the @sshole all the time. Why are you insisting on giving Ducks and OTC a bad name?

Seems to me you have a connection with this father, or struggle with memories of being cut from your HS team yourself. This is strange behaviour Duck.
Relax on the anger, smile a bit more, and stop giving Ducks and OTC a terrible reputiation. Thats what you are doing.
Even if you hate everyone in here, you never contribute with anything more than scraps and the rest of the time you give your heroes a bad rep. You should stop.

I don't care that he is black. Or if he were 1/2 or 1/4 black. Or had purple of red skin. He and his dad made a mistake and race doesn't factor into my criticism of them.

I'm sure you actually believe that
Lol We just won our sectional championship without him and we are in contention for winning the Group 2 state championship as a team... I wouldn't say that we suck.

No, I actually do. I'm a minority and have been a target of racism and discrimination. But even if I WERE white, I'm a good enough person to know right from wrong.
I'm sure you actually believe that
