If I have no hope of getting out, what's the point of waiting around to kill myself? I'd just do it immediately...
Then again there is nothing in the room so you'd have to use your teeth to severe a blood vessel and then bleed to death, which is pretty gruesome. So I might wait a day or two to reflect on my life and then get up the courage to finish myself off.
2 great responses.....good humour still pops up on letsrun from time to time.

I'd donate the cash to donkey sanctuaries.
Thank you.
After 3 years of no contact with the outside world except for your food, you come out and collect your 11 million dollars. But all the doom and gloomers about the debt and the economy were right. The monetary system collapsed and paper money is essentially worthless everyone uses gold. You are stunned and shocked after waiting for three years for your reward but now you are broke and totally distraught. You do the only thing you can think of.......You ask to go back into confinement.

Three years. After three years, I'd have about $11 million. Then I'd be a rich dude starting new businesses and traveling the world. I can handle solitude fine.
I'd be able to withstand solitary confinement for at least several months, assuming I have continual access to a stash of good books and a writing pad/pen. I'd start going crazy if my mind was idle for too long.
It'd be more interesting if you had to commit to the duration ahead of time, and only got your money if you stayed in as long as you said you would. This would limit some of your self -determination and make it more difficult I think.
Great thread

Fool. Most can't last more than 30dys without going out of their mind.
If it were a typical solitary that they have in a prison where you can read and get some exercise, I would go for 100 or 200 days to bank a couple of mil and retire early. Your scenario would be much more difficult. I would go for a month to start. If I could get some paper and pens, I would write and could probably last 100 days. I would end up being one of those dudes that can do 1000 push ups. I think a week of that would actually be a freaking vacation for me.
i love being away from you f@#ks
a long GD time
I would love to do that for a year. Apart from meditation, I will be doing yoga, pull ups and push ups, plyometrics, and other exercises that dont require equipments. I will practice my kegles every day, but not masturbate at all. At the end of the year, I will have 3.6million cash and a still and clear mind with almost no thinking. And my kegel muscles will be so toned and huge, I have to open up my legs when I walk to accommodate them. The first girl I hook up with after, I will have sex with her for three days in a row, stopping only to eat and take shit/pee. I will open a yoga, running, tantra resort, where hippies from all over the world come and live in together, practice polyamory, raise kids together, and hopefully contribute to the future of mankind on this earth, as the utterly individualistic, purely materialistic world we are living in now is for sure gonna make us extinct in few centuries.
or
I will quit after three days
