Wow. Finally.
Not actually a particularly sleazy job (Somebody's got to do it. I guess.), but what a sleazy way of "coincidentally" announcing to LRC that you have a great body and are hung like a horse.
Which, I suppose, brings us to the sleaziest occupation of all: LRC thread-starter.

Wow. You killed your own thread.
Insurance Adjuster...As one myself, I can interpret a policy any way I want to so that I can deny 100% of your claim and still be legally "correct" or cover 100% of your loss no matter, on paper, how much your claim is a complete and utter denial. That being said, if you have to file a claim, be nice to your adjuster no matter how or what you feel as they can make your loss hell....As for agents, they just sell policies and most of them haven't a clue what they're selling so don't jump on them when it comes to claims as their hands are tied
If you don't understand the need for lobbyists & lawyers in a democracy than you don't understand how a republic works...
With that in mind nursing home management personnel, the insurance industry, Hollywood, & teacher's that are part of a union.

One can make a reasonable argument against teachers' unions but to say that all, most, or even very many teachers who belong to unions are sleazy is monumentally ignorant to the point of being...um, well, sleazy.
So, OP, are you telling us no one has named your profession yet?
SPARTANS!!!What is your profession?

What is the first job you think of when you hear the words: sleaziest profession, and why?
Door to door cable or satellite salesman.
They are rude and obnoxious.

Face it, ads can be great. They help a brand establish an identity.
People live their lives based around brand identities... (BMW, Ralph Lauren, Bud Light, Nike)
...even those who claim that they don't... (Whole Foods, Dr. Bronners, American Apparel)
You just hate advertisers that suck at their jobs.
Sounds like a pathetic way to live your life.

I won't mention my profession, we'll see how long it takes to be named. Thanks.
A doctor. Charging $400 for a 15 minute consultation is fvcking criminal
My son was taken to the ER for stitches, which were not even done by a doctor. He waited in a waiting room. The procedure took 20 minutes and the bill was over $2,000. Evidently all that administrative time of entering the name into the computer that took them 10 minutes by administrative staff brought the total work to about 30 minutes. So we are talking $4,000 for an hourly charge. That is total Bull Shite and it is no wonder this country is broke and the people cannot afford insurance.
My friend who is an ER doctor said the hospitals charge so much in large part because they treat illegal aliens by the boatload who have no insurance and they have to recover their losses on that in some way.

I stand corrected. Doctors are indeed the sleaziest.
That is total BS excuse about illegal aliens.

OK, I am the real OP, the guy above who said male stripper is not me.
The pathetic thing is, it took exactly 2 minutes for someone to guess my profession. I started this thread at 11:23 am, and 2 minutes and 2 posts later, someone nails it right on the head. And he may posted at the same time as the first guess, so it may be a photo finish for first post.
So is pharmaceutical sales that blatantly sleazy? This all started after a lifelong friend just threw it into a conversation this morning. I was taken aback because he is in business too. I know pharmaceutical sales is not Noble Peace Prize level stuff, but it's not, let's pick something from the list today, meth dealer or sports agent.
Damn, it may be time to look into a new profession. If my best friend and the 2nd poster of the day on Letsrun are calling me out, it must be closer to true than not.
Thanks for guessing, everyone.

pharma. salesmen was first thing that came to my mind. regarding doctors, they are extremely necessary to our society, and have done amazing things, but they also have done some pretty shitty things. and they do charge a lot. in my opinion, a good doctor, one who makes few mistakes and works absolutely insane hours like they must, deserves a better paycheck than most people. however, i also agree that not all of that money should be coming out of the patients' pockets. which is why we need better alternatives with our healthcare. this presents one of our country's greatest dilemmas...i dont have a perfect solution, but something sure as hell needs to be done. give doctors what they deserve, without patients having to pay an arm and a leg for it (haha enjoy the lame pun).
as to the thread-starter, well, whatever floats your boat dude. there was actually a kid that quit my college track team to become a male stripper as well. i wouldnt call it the sleaziest profession, but not something i would choose to do.

This. The masses are just too stupid to comprehend some things.
