YSL is a two ton man mountain who can palm a medicine ball.

YSL is going to murder every distance runner in the world next year. I had heard that the comeback was hopefully fully on a couple months ago from one of my friends, we were freshman at a different HAAL school when YS was a senior. Will be following his progress very intently.
Just let the guy make a steady comeback, you guys are killing him before he has a chance. I'd love to have him and Fernandez healthy and live up to potential, but part of what makes Rupp amazing is that he STAYS healthy and LIVES up to potential.
That is where people should watch and learn.

So happy this dude is back at it! He is a gutsy runner.
More telling he was ~40 seconds behind gotcher, who would be lapped by Rupp in a 10k...
Not saying YSL won't close the gap considerably, but the comparisons are crazy at this point.
well, he's got a way before he qualifies as the best ever runner out of San Leandro (see: Padilla, Doug)

word. Its interesting though. He's got a lot of drive in him I bet. And talent doesn't go away. You just never see a high school phenom go away and come back to do anything of note 10 years later. And those that do were running college and still in the grind year in and year out.
So right now he's a 29:10 10k runner at best. At age 26. The age the majority will peak. See how much faster Tegenkamp, Webb, and Ritz runs.
The Cal guys (Schmitt transferred to Washington) are legit and their PRs back them up. YSL tore them up on several 30-mile weeks?!? You don't see how crazy that is??? Wow, what a dummie.
he's certainly faster than that...perhaps not by much, but at least 10-20sec....esp if he goes out mellow (he drilled the first 800m!)....and yes, talent doesn't just go away. yes, tough to bring it back 10 yrs later (i think that's an exaggeration- 7/8yrs maybe?) but its always doable. nice kid, sure was happy at the finish.dude-

Stop comparing YSL to Rupp. Rupp doesn't deserve to be compared to a real man known as Yong-Sung Leal.
His testicles are the size of shot puts and his penis a mighty sword, similiar to the one in Crouching Dragon, Hidden Tiger.Chuck Norris, anyone?
