Estrada is out for blood.
Looking at NAU Cross Country web site he is not in picture, nor listed on traveling 7 to run at Nationals. Lists 7 runners, but not him. Don't think hes running. What a shame, definitely really hurts NAU chances to place high in team race score.
Maybe a little off topic but... is it just me or does letsrun throw around the term "underdog" way too much? Earlier this year they labeled Okie State as an underdog in their preview. It's rediculous to call a team with 12.5 distance-ONLY scholarships, an established history as a top ten team, and the high school two mile record holder on their team the underdogs.
And now it says on the front page that Stanford is an underdog this year? That is absolutely insane, considering the fact that they have been a national powerhouse the past 15-20 years. Just last year they finished third! At the beginning of the year they were ranked second I believe? If Stanford's an underdog, who the hell isn't? Maybe Oregon is the only team Letsrun would consider not to be, it seems.

Good point, and not off point at all. I agree that Oregon is the one program that maybe shouldn't be called an underdog. When you have a program with a long history of cross country championships, and you have a coach with a history of national championships (seven in all), how could you be an underdog? That said, I'd love to see the Oregon Ducks win this thing on Monday, and shut up all the ignorant and jealous LetsRun posters.
i think syracuse will surprise the nation and get 3rd behind ok state then oregon...
... all I know is that Stanford won't win. OSU will beat them, and I think a couple other teams have a shot at Stanford. Stanford of course will find the podium.
Chris Derrick will contend for the individual title, but I give him only slightly better odds than someone else in the rest of the field winning over Chelenga. Run the race 50 times, and I think Chelenga wins 25. Derrick 15. Someone else 10.
The Stanford enthusiasm is way too optimistic overall, though.

No it's not. Stanford will win.

this season?
McCarthy for top 10 and O'Lionaird for top 20
i keep wondering why pple will put German anywhere near top 10...the best i would give him is 25
Sam Chelanga has too be the man too beat he was second last year too Rupp and there is no one in this race as good as Rupp. Also he killed at regionals too knowone was near him.

You seem two think to highly of Chelange. There are at least too who could win. My money is on Noone.
Noone for the win wrote:

LOL!!
looks like diego is out then... too bad for them. But I think derrick ran a smarter race at regionals taking it easy with his teammate instead of running a blowout like Chelanga did... I guess we will see tomorrow.
I heard diego got swine flu! or maybe it was the aids... either way. get better soon kid!

I really think that Iona is not getting the credit they deserve. The team will finish in the top 8 if not top 5. Just cause there were minor let downs at regionals doesn't mean there automatically going to crap the bed at Nationals. Also I think Sheridan will be up around the 5 spot. He did show up to run at Regionals and I think thirsty for a top 5 spot at Nationals!
