Never to early to start this..What's going to happen?
A better way to ask this question would be:
Which studs are currently gathering their last nourishment from their mothers' wombs, ready to be birthed in time for nationals?
I run D-1 you guys!!! I am 36th on my team and have a 5k best of 18:13.57. But I'm still D-1!!!
Ne England should be a battle between Williams, Amherst, Brandeis and maybe Keene State. Trinity lost a ton including one runner to transfer so I would not expect them to be making the return trip to nationals.
Mideast region looks pretty mediocre- Haverford and Allegheny will be strong, but Carnegie Mellon doesn't return very many guys & their 30:36 10k guy hasn't trained most of the summer. Who knows/ cares about Hopkins. Etown looks to be on the rise, they had quite a few freshman in their top 7 last year.
D3 = JV who cares.
Really? The mideast is arguably the best region in the country on the men's side. Allegheny, Dickinson and Haverford (alpha order) are all legitimate top-10 teams, maybe higher, and CMU is always decent.
CA high school state meet > D3 nationals
I don't think that st. lawrence will end up in the top 4 probably but they are definitely a top 10 team. they return their top 6 finishers from last years 17th place team. they also were unable to run one of their top guys (mwenda) due to injury who went on to run 9:21 in the steeple this spring.
i also disagree that the mideast is better than the atlantic region. based on last years results you had one team in the top 10, and it just so happened they were in tenth place. hard to make a claim as the top region when you have 9 teams finish in front of your first. i don't know a lot about the other regions but i think it is safe to say that cortland will be in the top 5 nationally, geneseo and st lawrence in the top 10 for the atlantic region.
before you jump all over me, i am a recent grad from a school in the atlantic region so yes there is bias, but i think anyone who knows diii running wouldn't find any of my claims unreasonable.
also forgot about NYU, they will undoubtedly be back in the top 10 this year. i'm predicting 4 atlantic region teams in the top 12th, and thats being conservative.
Ricky Flynn got all three seasons back. They visited the doctor this summer and got injury verifiation notes to send to the NCAA to get his red shirts for all three seasons. The NCAA confirmed and have allowed him to have all three seasons.

Nice
I'll be the first to say it; No way the Atlantic Region gets 4 teams in the top 12.
look for Salisbury distance program to be on an up rise in the next couple years

With Cortland the defending champs graduating 2, Geneseo in 8th graduating 0, and SLU graduating only 1 those 3 look like pretty solid bets. NYU is questionable, but definitely have the history of putting together solid teams.

That wasn't me. I just thought the whole Baby Nationals controversy was funny. I am actually a proud former D III runner. At best, I was my team's #4. Loosen up.

My name's been used to mock me before, but it had a space between mc and blow. I don't know about this one. Maybe a capital i instead of an l?
