To answer the question in the title, clearly not. The RN have doubled their voter support in 2 years, that can be construed as many things, but certainly not the "end" of a reaction. Good news for centrists is they will probably get most of those votes back if they actually clamp down on mass immigration, that has at least been the case in other European countries.

In the UK the Reform Party's original demand was leave the EU. We did that and then they pivoted towards leaving the European single market and European customs union. We did that and now they want to tear up our other European and international agreements including the Convention on Human Rights.
There's never enough Brexit that satisfies these people.
Conceding to whose demands? Mass immigration is unpopular amongst a large base of European voters, hence why you've seen the results in the European elections and the results in national elections. Centrists adressing this is not "conceding" to anyone, it's reclaiming an important issue that voters care about instead of letting the "far right" claim it for themselves. For reference, since you seem to be stuck on Brexit. The UK for the past 3 years has had 2-3x more net immigration per year than they did pre-Brexit. This whilst immigration has consistently polled as the most important issue amongst conservative voters in the UK. Not to mention the illegal immigration issue you have. So yeah, that's why Reform got the results they did. Not because of "more Brexit", but because of an incompetent Tory party that doesn't know it's own voter base.

Ultimately migration into Europe will not cease until we have a more peaceful world. That isn't going to be fixed anytime soon (it's only going to get more volatile).
There's little European countries can do about asylum seekers - they're morally and legally bound to provide refuge to genuine asylum seekers. Approximately 80% of arrivals are deemed genuine after their case is heard.
When it comes to ordinary migration, there's a very large number of people retiring in the next 20 years and a few babies being born. The working age population is due to shrink, not increase.
We CAN reduce ordinary migration if we want, but whether is actually going to be desirable is an open question.

I think the biggest thing the left maintaining power in France shows is the power of censorship. Although conservatives decry censorship and bias in the MSM in America we do have a range of media sources. You've got media on both sides and things like X and Rumble which are almost completely unfiltered. In most European countries the government runs the media or has a heavy hand in influencing it. France for example has banned Rumble because Rumble refused to adhere to the governments censorship policies. It is much more difficult for populous movements to breakthrough when the government has extensive control over the media and flow of information.

The far right talk a lot and very loudly. The majority of voters, whom are liberal, do not. This creates the situation you see in France now, the US in 2020, and the US later this year. The vast majority that arrive are economic migrants, not asylum seekers. And as far as asylum seekers go, the system is a joke. Some countries approve all applications, some approve almost none. Anyways, most countries in Europe control their migration levels, some who used to adopt mass immigration are now much stricter, because they saw the secondary effects of those policies (after just a few years of doing it mind you) and decided hell naw, we're can't deal with this.

As far as Le Pen goes, that's right, she is not that likeable as a candidate and she has lost several times already in the past. I looked it up and she has been running since at least 2012 and always loses. If she is controlled opposition DESIGNED to lose, it wouldn't surprise me.
