Not sure if you're a troll or know nothing about the UK's system
This was a swing from the centre right party to a more extreme right party - the opposite of rejecting right-wing conservatism
It is rare that I read something that is so flat-out wrong that I spent quite some time checking I was actually reading it correctly. Are you under the impression that the fascist "Reform" party won? It is the only possible interpretation that makes sense.
Labour got 410 seats with 34% of the vote (9.6 million votes).
Tories got 119 seats with 6.7 million votes.
Reform got 4 seats with 4 million votes.
Lib Dems got 71 seats with 3.5 million votes.
Scottish National Party got 8 seats with 666,000 votes.
Sinn Fein got 7 seats with 210,000 votes.
Crazy system.
FPTP works well if there are only a few parties but does have problems when there are multiple parties. Unfortunately, the winning party has a vested interest in maintaining FPTP. Also, nobody can agree on an alternative; Proportional Representation, Regional PR, Single Transferable Vote, Ranked Ballot etc. etc.
When Trudeau was elected as PM in 2015 he declared that would be the last FPTP election in Canada. However, proposals to change it never got past the committee stage due to no obvious consensus as to what to change it to.

Anyone who spends 30 minutes researching and considering the problem either concludes that the answer is Single Transferable Vote or they have no genuine interest in changing because they suspect that it might result in them not having things so easy in future.
Same thing will happen here in November. People are tired of the hatred and negativity coming from the right.
The writing is on the wall. Don’t be surprised when it happens.
But in France the right wing party made massive gains in the snap election, and Javier Milei won in Argentina in a landslide last year. You can't use international elections to predict what will happen in the United States.
Yes Putin. Most people in the UK acknowledge that Brexit was a huge F-up. An unforced error. An own goal. And the cause of it was Putin disinformation.
I don't know a rational person I have spoken to in the UK who thinks Brexit has been anything other than a complete, unmitigated disaster. The problem with democracy is that there is no basic intelligence test to vote and there are no checks on blatant lying by politicians. This of course massively favours right-wing parties.
STV is my preferred option also. In theory the most likely result will be centralist governments: Hard Left people would rank their ballot Socialist --> Labour --> Liberal, whereas the Hard Right would rank Reform --> Conservative --> Liberal. In other words the vote would migrate to the center.
However, in many constituencies the Liberals are third or lower on the first vote count, so their vote would eventually pass to their second choice: Labour or Conservative. The effect would be for both Labour and Conservatives to have to appeal to the moderate voters.
The ultimate result would be parties cannot just rely on their base voting for them and the opposition vote being split (Conservative and Reform in this case). They would have to appeal to the moderates to get past 50%.

good. brexit was (IS) a disaster. it took 8 years for the trump sheep-equivalents of the uk to realize the right-wing leadership was never after their best interests.

Oh please.
How many people has this guy spoken to in the UK? None?
Note that his definition of rational is that they agree with his take on Brexit.

I'm actually shocked that it was a "Conservative Party" running the show over there. This is the country that will send the cops to your house if you tweet out something that isn't progressive enough.
people voted brexit but what they really wanted was to get rid of poor immigrants
they lost access to europe and poor migrants kept pooring in
Well, they didn't understood that the UK took more immigrants than necessary while they were in the EU. Now they lost all the good EU workers will the really poor migrants are coming in.
Same with the fishermen who thought Brexit was a good idea. Now they realize that actually the French were buying their fish. Now they have Brexit and nobody buys their fish.
Brexit :Trade Deals: The liars said that countries would be "queuing up to sign the easiest trade deal in history".
The reality, well as Obama told the UK, "You will be at the bottom of a long list", subsequent US white house incumbents have basically agreed with Obama.
The EU have zero motivation to give us anything.
Nobody else is keen either, the Tories were so desperate that they had a minister for Brexit benefit. The best they could come up with is that they heard anecdotes that honey sales to the middle east had gone up. This is not satire even though when the nation's beekeepers were asked by a newspaper to comment they were baffled before someone piped up with "Yes, a man from Kuwait turned up at my farm and bought as much as he could carry on duty free.". I wish I was making this up but it is very easy to Google it as I would if I had some reliable internet at the moment.

Typo
Zero GDP growth since 2019 scares a lot of people. Brexit was poorly executed
Even with a well executed Brexit the result would have been not much different. The UK will never replicate the strong trade deals the EU has but they are learning that right now.
I’m old enough to remember 2016 when lefties rioted and burned cities after Trump won the first time. Also, old enough to remember when the same dipshlts did the same thing in the summer of 2020.
