You gushed about Reese getting a double-double tonight. Clark got a double-double tonight, but you try to make her sound like a bum because her team lost on the road to the two-time defending champions. Ok, bud.
Who's criticizing her for her rebounds? Of course Clark, a point guard, has more assists and of course Reese who lives in the paint will have more rebounds.
Reese has the better coach.
Coach Ewe is claiming Clark is better because she has more "fantasy points" which is reliant on assists.
It’s reliant on basically every stat. It is reliant on rebounds as well. Are you trolling?

How can you say Reese has the better coach? And why would that even matter for rebounds?
Clark's team, the Fever, got outscored 23-10 in the 4th quarter. CLARK COULDN'T EVEN GET A SHOT OFF IN THE 4th QUARTER. Clark had 2 turnovers and 2 shooting fouls and ZERO shots.
If you look at just her stats, it looks solid - 13 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists ( 6 turnovers and 5 fouls) but she is playing losing basketball. She isn't making any winning plays, no defensive stops, tons of turnovers and vanishes in the 4th quarter. Plum dropped 34 points on Clark today.
I watched noth games last night and I watch the WNBA regularly. The "better coach" comment, though seemingly a non-sequitor, was made because Chicago uses its players more effectively. Weatherspoon is an experienced coach who learned in the NBA. They are a big tough physical team. Carter will often come off a Cardoso or Reese pick above the elbow and attack the basket and drive, pass to the corner or hit a diving Cardoso or Reese rolling to the basket for a layup pr rebound. I still can't figure out what the Fever try to run and I don't know if their coach has either.
Clark makes good plays but her teammates often miss the passes or their shots. I think she'd make winning plays if she had a better coach. True her defense isn't good which is why I compared her to Trae Young in an earlier comment. Plum schooled her but Clark wasn't on Plum that often. I'd love to see Clark play more like Curry and move off of screens but the Fever are a boring poorly coached team.

Sorry but you are full of crap. Boston of the Fever just made the WNBA All Star Team, while Reese is the only one from her team to make it. All of Clark's teammates shoot a better percentage than Clark, so you can't blame her teammates for missing shots.
The issue with the Fever is Clark is limited offensively. She isn't fast enough to come off screens like Curry, nor does she have the endurance to do that. She isn't a good enough ballhandler to create her own shots off the dribble.
They run a better offensive when Clark is on the bench.

Is this a joke? these are the very things that made her the greatest scorer in NCAA history. and you decided you would say these are things she cant do? is this a gas lighting 101 assignment?

She hasn't been able to do those things in the WNBA at all.
She couldn't get one shot off in the 4th quarter yesterday.

of course she has. watch any highlight video for her. i dont want to hear she cant do these things because she got shut down in one sequence of one game. she scores all the time off screens or getting kick outs from teammates inside. and when the defense rushes to cover her outside shot she has shown the ability to create a shot for herself or her teammates by knifing into open lanes and getting layups or passing to an open player or just isolating and pulling up. thats her game. she can still do those things even if the defense is tougher at the professional level. that ability doesnt just suddenly evaporate. dont be fooled into thinking a lower shooting percentage = "cant score". between her scoring ability and her ability to find teammates with the ball she is one of the most dangerous offensive players in the league which is exactly why defenses focus specifically on smothering her like a blanket. of course as a rookie she will need to improve all aspects of her game to maximize her ability but that was also true for Plum and every other big name rookie thats come into the game. takes time to adjust to the level of defense especially as a point guard. but that will come for sure over the next few years just like it did for Plum. Just dont conflate refinement with ability.

Clark shoots from the logo, her teammates don't, theyre supposed to have higher shooting %s. Boston gets beautiful pocket passes from Clark and will have a higher% which will only get better. Curry isn't very fast either so Clark's speed is not the issue. I'll agree that she doesnt create shots off the dribble very well but she has the ability to blow by a defender. She plays 37 (out of 40) minutes, she has endurance but tires at the end of the game when she's blitzed. it's the coaching- no ball movement no secondary action.

By the way, Samuelson, Wallace, and Wheeler are not shooting any better than Clark. The forwards are ad is Mitchell. Mitchell, Boston, and Clark are a formidable trio. With other coaches (Reeves or Hammon) the Fever could be a winning team.
