I would be fine with Whitmer or Shapiro or Hakeem Jeffries.
The only issue with Jeffries would be Trump supporters would do another false equivalency and say he is an election denier in the same way Trump is. But still think Jeffries would easily win and get some of the vote that Democrats who might now show up to vote for Biden might show up to vote for him.
Dems made the debate earlier this year because they knew Biden wouldn't do well, and now they are going to find a new candidate to replace him.
I may have to believe you on this one. Having this debate in June, before the Convention didn’t make sense. But now, there’s a small opening before the August Convection to replace him.
I don’t understand why they didn’t encourage competition in the primaries, though.
So now the bosses get to decide he is out and who is in?
The voters in the Dem primaries weren’t really given a choice. None of the big names ran.
Huge mistake to not give Biden competition from other Democrats.
I will say this for Trump, Republican voters were given a choice of contenders and they wanted Trump. He owns that party. But is that party big enough to win? It keeps losing members.
that's the problem, with you , not trump, you hate the person, disregarding the facts that his policies were much better for the country than bidens policies, and under trump things in the country were much better for Americans, but yo cant get past the hatred of his personality, which has nothing to do with his performance in office.
Prior to the multiple Hunter convictions and whatever Joe was doing at the debate (that was painful to watch), his approval rating was in the 30% range. Based on what has transpired over the last year with the Biden's, these are my predictions.
70% Congress will rule Joe ineligible to run the country through Jan. 2025
50% Joe will show up at a public event not wearing pants.
0% The Dems will find a presidential and VP candidate in time that have appeal beyond their base. At this point, the anti-Biden vote maybe larger than the anti-Trump vote.
Finally, I'm surprised Tulsi Gabbard does not appeal to more people on the left and right. Although she is listed as democrat, she is really in the center and is professional, very smart, and has experience.

They're gaining. Biden is the only president to lose significant chunk of Hispanic and black voters. That is his greatest accomplishment. That and his duel with Corn Pop.
Draft Dean Phillips! Good record in the House, plenty of personal money, good looking for a politician, YOUNG FOR A POLITICIAN, sensible and moderate policies, and very personal and charismatic. Dude would absolutely wipe the floor with Trump. I know Biden is the most decrepit of the current two, but watch Trump when he doesn’t have Biden in the same room and he both looks and sounds awful. I’ve compared him to a balloon that’s leak air slowly- that’s how he looks and sounds. Put a vigorous younger dude like Phillips next to him and this be very obvious even to those who wear Trump-tinted glasses.

You have it backwards. People don't like Biden despite his excellent policy record. The only real policy gripes with Biden are over Gaza, from the left. If his border bill passed, which contained basically everything republicans wanted, he might have had complaints from the left on aspects of that too. Trump cut taxes for the rich and raised them for working class people. Trump gutted regulatory agencies and let monopolies coalesce. Trump tried to kill the Post Office. He pulled out of the Iran deal, and despite Jared's efforts (which netted him 2 billion from the Saudis), peace in the middle east still escapes us. Trump oversaw the death of Jeffrey Epstein in custody before testimony, too. Cutting taxes for corporations makes the stock market go up because of stock buybacks. It doesn't really add to the economy.
At their core, the Bidens are the consummate pay-to-play corrupt ward-style political family. They have something very valuable right now—the Presidency for the next seven months and all the pledged delegates for the Democratic nomination. They are not going to just give that up. The family is living the highlife on the American taxpayer’s dime, and a staff of hundreds (thousands?) of administration and campaign staff members owe their livelihood and station to this man. They’ll keep propping up the corpse as long as they can. Why hand it over to Newsom and let his people take over?
Here’s Bidens weakness: he didn’t have the same opportunity as both Clintons, Gore and Obama to get generationally wealthy within months of leaving office. He and the family made some bucks with their shady deals and in his two years post VP stint, but they’ve burned cash and won’t be setting up the grandkids. Nobody’s giving Biden $50 million for a legitimate Netflix contract and book deal. Investment banks won’t pay him a quarter mil per speech. His commercial value is zero post office.
Democrat power brokers need to find a way to put $20 million in his pocket in fast cash. Jill needs to be bought off, and the scumbag kids need their taste too. It’s negotiation time.
You mean the Democrats know they can't possibly pull the same crap they did four years ago?
No because the D party has an immune system. They didn't pull anything in 2020 except win an election against a pig. The passage of time occurred and that will diminish us all.
