And yet that hasn't happened. Outside of one single case. There has NEVER been a transwoman in a professional running event. Maybe, we can see the difference between that and adults bullying children.
Im pretty sure she would hate it. If DSD athletes, and trans athletes came out,and dominated, nikki would not be so supportive.

That's who (GOD ALMIGHTY) she needs to be focusing more on and not her sexual orientation. It's becoming her SOLE identity and that is off putting to me.
My goodness Nikki be a MF athlete, because straight athletes aren't running around broadcasting and jumping on every bandwagon pertaining to their orientation. She's fast becoming an unwelcome nuisance. 😳
You’re confusing sexual orientation with gender identity. And it’s not uncommon for athletes to speak out about issues that are important to an aspect of their identities. Just a few examples from this sport alone:
Allyson Felix advocated for services for athletes who are mothers.
Sanya Richards-Ross wrote about the prevalence of athletes having abortions and the need for pregnancy prevention education.
Dina Asher-Smith called for research into how periods affect athletic performance.
The people who enable men with transexualism deserve far worse than boos.
The people suffering the disease deserve respect after they're cured, but until then no amount of force that would keep them away from real girls is too much.
Umm, whatever happened to having a good means to a good end? Do you think it is just to kill a docile boy who insists he is a girl to prevent him from entering a female-only locker room with girls inside? You've gone Machiavellian. The ends do not always justify the means. Your statement reminds me of the Palestinian protesters nowadays chanting "By any means possible!" - which strikes me as suggesting terrorism. The aspirations of the Palestinians may be just, but their implied means to attaining it, if they involve terrorism, are not.
I cannot believe the transgender insanity has gotten as far as it has, but lets not also lose touch with reality.
So according to you, it's okay for biological boys to murder biological girls, but it's not okay for biological girls to stand up for ourselves???
Your argument is totally backwards and wrong.
Girls and women DO have the right to stand up for ourselves, especially in cases like this.
I don't get why Nikki involves themselves in stuff like this. It is in no way the same as Nikki's situation.
I wish there could be separation for supporting transgendered people in living their best life from not supporting it coming at the expense of women/girls. I fully support people being however they choose/are as long as they aren't bringing harm to anyone else. I just can't support males dominating females in sports and setting records where no natural female will ever have a chance to come close. I also deeply resent when a natural born male identifies as a woman and becomes "the first woman" to make a notable accomplishment. It feels like a gigantic slap in the face. I also resent males in female locker rooms. In a world where men rape women on a daily basis in this world, one of the primary ways we stay safe is knowing when something is wrong as quickly as possible. A male being in the women's locker room used to be clearly wrong and a woman could proceed to defend herself accordingly. Allowing males to freely use the women's locker room confuses our ability to protect ourselves. Now it is not clearly wrong. Are they rapey? are they okay? Who knows! The extra time needed to discern this puts women at risk when the male is an actual threat. And if she stares too much while trying to figure it out she will be labeled a bigot and banned from the establishment. I support transgendered people being whatever they need to be and living their life in peace, but the infringement on women and girls is beyond ridiculous. People that support this are either really naive, or they are choosing to ignore reality and common sense. That is the part that I find impossible to support.
I really like Hiltz as a runner, but I am wondering if they make the team if the Olympic coverage will be used as a soapbox for the trans agenda. That seems to be the only thing Nikki cares about. I worry we will have that shoved down our throats instead of just enjoying the competition. I know I am not supposed to feel that way, but I do. I support her, but I have also grown weary with having this thrust at me at every opportunity. Sometimes I just want to enjoy an event without having someone's personal agenda thrown into it.
I wouldn't be so quick to categorize this situation as such.
I don't think the boo's are being direct at just the child, they are being directed at the whole situation, including those who allowed this situation to happen in the first place.
Can you imagine what it would feel like for the female competitors, to be running behind a biological male while everyone in the crowd was cheering the male on enthusiastically.
If anything the boo's probably served as some measure of reprieve for the poor girls who had to compete on uneven ground.
A biological male who transitions and chooses to compete knows they are putting themselves in a controversial situation, and boos and unhappy parents would be expected.
What would be far more damaging to individuals as a whole, would be if everyone was just complacent and cheered these athletes on as if nothing was wrong with the situation.
That would be seriously deranging to all female competitors involved. They are the ones that need to be protected in this matter. And the booing in this situation served as an antidote for them I'm sure.
It would have been much more horrific had the crowd been complacent or supportive of the situation.
Im pretty sure she would hate it. If DSD athletes, and trans athletes came out,and dominated, nikki would not be so supportive.

Exactly. All this faux concern for the integrity of women's sports when it reality, there has never been a trans professional athlete in any race in the history of the sport.
Nothing would be more awesome than a transgender woman running in the women's 1500 at trials next week and nipping Nikki for that third Olympic spot.
So, in other words, you and all who upvoted you here, spend much of your time here saying that you cannot stand the thought of men taking away women's opportunities in sports by claiming they are transgender (I agree), yet you now say that it would be the best thing of all if that happened just to harm one athlete because she registered an opinion about it that opposed your opinion, but which now coincides with yours.
Do you understand the term 'cognitive dissonance'?
A high school boy who competes in a girl's event deserves to be booed. That's totally unfair. He should be ineligible by definition of the event. To go from the idea that there is a difference between your physical-biological nature and how you comport and think about yourself in the world to the idea that you should be entitled to call yourself male or female purely from choice, with no biological basis whatsoever, is an obvious mistake.
I don't get why Nikki involves themselves in stuff like this. It is in no way the same as Nikki's situation.

What was the harm here? Who was harmed and how by a transgender girl running in a low stakes race? 1 different medal in a fairly meaningless race? Did a coach revoke a scholarship? Was NIL money taken? No. None of these things happened. The problem here is most of the ghouls commenting on this topic, peaked in running when they won the 1600 in the 1A division at the Iowa or Tennessee state meet and thought they were the next Prefontaine. Sorry guys, it's not that serious and it never was. What's real is how many transgenders kids kill themselves because of the rhetoric in threads like this. With adults telling them they don't belong. Being trans doesn't have to have boxes around it. You can't say I support you, just don't come near this space! HS running 200 running in Oregon is not high stakes.
I also don't buy this notion that any of you anti-trans commentators actually care about "women's sports" you all just abhor the idea of a transperson. Which is why these children have the highest suicide rate of any of their peers, because the adults around tell them they don't belong. Give it up guys. It's disgusting.
Ok, but as I have said many times in this thread. I'm not here to debate transgenderism. I don't care what your opinions on transgenderism are, I'm not interested.
I am here for one reason only: to understand why people believe that adults booing a kid is appropriate. So far, only one person has actually answered my question by invoking a moral hazard and implying that the good consequences will outweigh the bad.
If the runner is only a kid, maybe the runner does not have the maturity to change his or her sexual identity?
The harm here is that the girls who would have won and placed in the event had their only competitors been biological girls didn't get those places. Was this a high stakes event? It probably was to them. And of course you know better about what those of us who want to keep women's sports limited to biological females want and are thinking. We couldn't possibly mean that we're only just using that argument to cover our abhorrence of a trans person.
This never ends as long as the country leaves the decision to politicians and athletic org executives ,it can only be solved by the women competing . They simply all walk away when a man lines up next to them . The problem will be solved instantly if all there is left is one mentally ill man standing on the starting line or on a playing field.
