As soon as I present this information about Wayoni's coach, Rojo deletes the thread in which he accuses the OP of racism for suggesting he is doping. Unbelievable.
I'm still reeling. King Rudisha's WR doesn't seem so out of reach anymore.
....
So true I. A thread post recently asking who could run sub 1:40, I answered an upcoming runner not currently old enough to compete. I'm still not saying Emmanuel will run sub 1:40 but he seems to have the potential to one day THREATEN David Rudisha legendary 800m WR as Emmanuel is still young. IMPRESSED 😮
New WR would be great. And I didn't think we'd see it anytime soon but today has changed my mind.
However, sub 1:40 we're about 15-30 years away. It's almost a full second faster than Rushisha.
Wow, what a race. I said in the sub 1:40 thread that Wanyonyi was the only active pro with a slim chance of breaking Rudish'a record, but I thought it was more likely we'd be waiting another decade for a supertalent to come around. We hadn't even seen a 1:42 low since 2019!
After this, though... I might have to change my tune, he was so strong and controlled throughout that race. He has to be capable of 1:41 low at least if with a rabbit at sea level. Can't wait for him to face off against Wanyonyi and Arop in Paris
Just four mistakes on a seven letter name like Sedjati is really good for you, Coevett. I'm sure you will improve further.
Yes, my incorrect spelling of Sedjati is far more important than my revealing that Wayanayoumi's coach was arrested on suspicion of administering EPO injections to Rita Jepto, had 3 athletes suspended for doping (likely more since then), worked for the infamous Rosa, and whose doping associations were too much for even him to take
Yes, much more important. Jogging 1:40.70 from the front at altitude - definitely clean.

Wayoni Wayanayoumi
Jepto 1:40.70
10 mistakes. Well done, Coevett.
How did you manage to get Rosa correct, Coevett?
Why has he jogged to become the third fastest 800m runner in history?

Does anyone have an exact split for the first lap? In the video the clock isn't visible until they've passed the 400m mark showing 50, but it must've been like 49.mid right?

Thanks for posting under your real name. Below is more on Lempus’ case, which was an instance of idiotic doping. I don’t think you’d really suggest the coach Berardelli would’ve told her to use a highly-detectable drug that isn’t banned out of competition right before a competition. Either way you can flood this thread with as many smears as you want. Wanyonyi is tested a ton and will continue to be.
And have the Kenyans found a new super drug? Kipyokei is one of 10 athletes in the last two years to test positive for the same substance, triamcinolone acetonide, a drug once used by Lance Armstrong and Brad Wiggins. Why are...
Wanyonyi's coach also coached Titus Ekiru, banned for 10 years for peds and falsifying medical records.
So that's at least three athletes he's coached that not only banned, but handed additional years for falsifying medical records. How is this guy still allowed to coach?
Titus Ekiru (born 2 January 1992) is a Kenyan long-distance runner. He represented Kenya at the 2019 African Games and he won the men's half marathon with a time of 1:01:42. He became the first Kenyan to win this event at the...
Smears? His coach has had at least six athletes busted, three of them banned for four to ten years for obstructing or tampering. He was arrested along with three local pharmacists on suspicion of administering EPO to athletes but the super efficient Kenyan police were unable to find any evidence (I'm sure they enjoyed plenty of the finest quality tea for many a week afterwards). He worked under Frederico Rosa until he was sacked over his doping associations.
I wasn't posting under Coevett because Rekrunner and Passant reported me for 'harassment' and I was banned for a week.

Well he certainly didn't tell her NOT to take it did he? Any coach who has had six athletes banned clearly has not got a grip on how to keep a clean training camp. Even Rosa sacked him for that reason.
