The finish was disgusting. Unsportsmanlike and unprofessional. The only thing worse would be if they had finished holding hands in an attempt to tie. Don't many high school and college leagues disqualify for this type of nonsense?
They are professional Distance Runners in the end its business and the business is to make as much profit as possible and they did which is a victory for both. I think a lot of people would agree they showed high intellect and stretched the financial element as far as possible. The goal was to lock up an Olympic Seat and they did and, in the end, it comes down to how much additional income can be made. They did nothing wrong they bleed together on the road and if he allowed his teammate to take the title who cares they earned their Olympic Seat and as much financial gain as possible. Both of these men are married I think with children, and they did what a family man should do! Congrats men and your Olympic Ready!
