Maybe it’s just me, but I believe a sponsored athlete male or female should go out of their way to be visible, as they’re essentially being paid to be a billboard.
You JUST criticized her for being a narcissistic attention hog. OK, so maybe not YOU, but someone.

Who cares what you think if her sponsors are happy, lmao.
She’s not posted on Strava since 4 Jan. (Doesn’t mean she’s not running quite often she comes off Strava). I guess she’s tapering now too. She was in good shape a few months ago so unless injured I can’t see fitness dropping off that much.
Not to bump this bizarre thread.. but I noticed Molly's Verde Track Club "training partner" Jessa Hanson ran her last long run with Emily Durgin in Florida (IG story). Seems a little obvious at this point that something is going on with Molly. Fingers crossed she was able to recover from whatever is going on and can line up at the trials..

That's because Molly is injured as obviously seen from her flowers and recent knee complaints. Why would you call my thread "bizarre" when it is spot on and true?
“I think the U.S. has incredible depth and incredible speed right now when it comes to its female marathoners, so I’ll admit that’s going to be one of the big challenges for me because I’m not the fastest woman out there,” Seidel says. “There are a lot of women with faster PR’s than me, so I’m going to need to really work to my strengths on this course and challenge myself.”
Views her training for it as a continuation of her Chicago build.
Glad she confirmed the she's toeing the line. Hopefully it tempers this thread's cringe speculation, which was just missing a Ouija board or Miss Cleo reference.
You've got to admit this thread surely highlighted the ills of Letsrun.

No she didn't, you are spreading disinformation. Nowhere in that NBC article did Molly confirm she is "toeing the line" now after she got injured since the contents of that article reads like it's from months ago. The NBC article is a fluff piece that journalists prepare months in advance for when news gets slow, such as Molly disappearing.

"Reads like...," so you don't know whether it is or isn't from months ago.

I don't see how it would benefit Seidel in any way to keep up a charade of saying she's going to run if she's not going to run.

There you go again spreading disinformation. That NBC article has no reference to anything that occurred in the past few months. The latest information it has is from the Chicago marathon, likely when the journalist did the interview. Hence why it doesn't even have any information or questions asking Molly how her final training runs have been.

Because there are 5 stages of grief and Molly is only on the first stage, which is denial.
In a post prior to this one, you wrote, "Nowhere in that NBC article did Molly confirm she is "toeing the line" now after she got injured since the contents of that article reads like it's from months ago."
So is she in a stage of denial about running it or did she not confirm? How can one be in a state of denial about something not confirmed?
Can I get a WHOOP! WHOOP! that I was totally right and you are totally wrong? The flowers Molly got were indeed "get well soon" flowers and not "keep breaking records" flowers that some here kept pushing.
