Dear Jeff, you know what, I actually agree with you on this. Jakob and Narve are generally not in the same league in the past year. However, it remains to be seen if they shall be in the same in this current new year.
Also, I see lots of ignorant comments by LRC folks on this thread saying that 'altitude training' (referring to the elevation in meters above sea level) is the key to (supposedly gain red blood cells) to perform well in high-performance running lol! That's just so wrong! I would rather an athlete takes PEDs and perform well than think he will perform well going up and coming back down from altitude to race lol! For me PEDs is 1000 times more effective than 'altitude/elevation'.
Instead it's far more accurate to say that 'the RELATIVELY RF-free and EMF-free environments that accompanies mountainous small towns in Europe/America/Africa provides the human high-performing body better recovery powers which translates to performing well upon return to sea level'.
