Just wait till I’m running better times because I didn’t follow anyone’s advice of running slow easy miles. Which would have resulted in close to no improvement 😂. Comical.

I guess there is still time to run slow, I just have been running 10-12min miles and I’ve not been sore and always felt like there was more in the tank. Running faster gave me sore muscles, so I think I will continue with that until it stops. Today I jogged slow ~12min miles for 4miles at 2.5% incline: max HR 174, average HR 156. I think jogging slow is good if you have sore joints or some type of injury/pain that won’t go away in 48hours or less.
am:
4x400m @ 7.7mph @ 2.5% incline then 1:30rest
3x400m @ 8.0mph @ 2.5% incline then 1:30rest
1x400m @ 9mph @ 2.5% incline then rest
Pm:
.25mi @ 10.5mph with 5:20 rest
.25mi @ 10.4mph with 5:20 rest
.25mi @ 10.3mph with 5:40 rest
Tried to do .25mi @ 10.2mph but only made it 20 seconds in
0% on TM but it’s actually measures 2.5%
Last entry for awhile since all I am getting is negativity from people who sound like they need to get out and do some cocaine because they are too uptight, just wanna down vote and complain about someone sucking on an Internet forum. Mr. Fukn Bs.
Cry less, run more.
That's the recipe. Type less and nut up.
For the past 2-3 weeks I tried run walking everyday. Anywhere from 30-60min. Today I just tried 2x8min with 1min walks and I noticed my HR got to 180. Also yesterday’s workout of 4x400M @ 10mph with 5 min walk rest got my HR to 184. I don’t think run walking is working at all. Mostly because 3 weeks ago I did 5x10mph with 5min rest and my HR only got to 180. It felt way easier too. I also use to be able to jog 2mile at 9min/mi without stopping before trying run+walking and my HR would be under 180. Now there is no way I could do 2mile at that pace. I definitely lost fitness. Probably going back to running 2mi hard every day. I saw better results when I was doing that.
Run+walking for 3-5mile everyday didn’t seem to increase the speed at which I can run at all. As far as I can tell; I was responding better to faster steady running. I also would only run 1-2 mile each time when I was doing faster steady running. Not 3-5mi. I need to go back to what I was doing in December because it was working.
To be honest, what seemed to net the biggest improvements was running incredibly slow (3-5mph@2.5% incline) for 30-60min with a heart rate under 150BPM. Then every other day I would do 1-2miles faster.
