One thing to be said about FootLocker, the conditions in San Diego are typically always, without fail, consistent and beautiful; so there is at least that for comparing times..
Which is why it is interesting that Engelhardt turned down an NXN invite last year to run Foot Locker, but then this year she decided to do NXN instead.
SoCal native Englehardt seems like she would do better in sunny San Diego than in rainy Portland.
Too bad Ellie Shea is not entered today; she had experience with mud at World Cross. 😄
Technically there are no seeds, but those 3 have the 3 highest speed ratings this year.
Forsyth should be able to handle a cold, wet, muddy course, but it will be interesting to see how warm weather runners Leachman and Englehardt do in these conditions.
Leachman once said that it's too cold for her when it's dry and 50 degrees, and now she needs to deal with wet and sub 50.
Are all three of them planning to run FootLocker, too?
Forsyth and Leachman will be running Foot Locker.
Engelhardt can't do both, because the West Regional qualifying for Foot Locker Nationals is today. (Or rather, WAS today. It just finished.)

Ellie Shea is supposedly running an indoor track meet today.
Josh Bell got in the top 10 too this is funny, Parra and Bell were considered a notch below Fast Horse, Perez, and Noonan and still managed top 10.
Parra and Bell don't have the same top-end fitness as Noonan, but their style of racing suits a muddy championship much better: get out fast and hang on
On courses with much less traffic and better footing, Noonan just needed to keep guys like Bell in sight the first few miles, then shift into top gear for the last mile and finish with nobody else even in the picture.
I suspect Noonan figured he could employ the same tactic and will have learned a valuable lesson today

well NXN is pretty fun, they fly you out, and give you a great experience!

yes, the FL experience v. the NXN experience are not comparable. have had kids at both multiple times.
