I don't think there is anything more naive than ascribing "talent" to a new runner from one of the worst doping countries in the sport.
It's ridiculous. I'd bett any money that this guy doesn't improve significantly over the next 3 years, and that if he does, he will be popped within 5 years.
We have to remember that the Brojos believe that the other Komen emerged from the Kenyan jungle with no concept of time.
Fun fact - at the 2014, 2016, 2018 World U20 World Championships there were eleven Kenyan male winners.
Five of them have now been busted.
2014 Alfred Kipketer (800m)
2016 Rodgers Kwemoi (10000m)
2016 Kumari Taki (1500m)
2016 Kipyegon Bett (800m)
2018 Rhonex Kipruto (10000m).
The six remaining not yet busted winners include the likes of George "I'm off to join the army" Manangoi and Edmund "16 going on 40 never hear of me again" Zayako.
Now we can add David Kiprotich Bett, winner of the 2010 5000m title to this ignomious list.
If we add Nijel Amos and his win in the 800 at the 2012 Championships it means that from 2010 to 2018, in all five World U20 Championships, at least one East African male gold medalist of the 800, 1500, or 5000m has been busted.
Hamza Druich, the 'Quatari' Moroccan born winner of the 1500m in 2012 was also subsequently banned for ABP irregularities.
I read that Cameron Myers is going to the next U20 Championships. My advice to him would be - don't! Just breathing in the EPO fumes from his 25 year old African rivals at the starting line might trigger a positive sample.
Did not Radcliffe have ABP irregularities with her ABP, and if so, why hasn't she been sanctioned???
And a number of British Women World Champions from various sports failed whereabouts tests yet they were brushed under the carpet? What about them?
The Captain of the British Olympic Team (Christie) had a number of failed tests during and after his heyday.. well what about this too?

Guy already got down to 13:05? What’s the “argument” here.
Looks like Josphat Kipkirui Sang, Andrew Kiptoo Alamasi, Ishmael Kipkirui, Edmond Serem and Koech Kibiwott are the most prominent stars of the U20 Team for Kenya.

Yeah some pretty good athletes there. I'm intrigued by Phanuel Kipkosgei Koech, 2nd in 800 today but doubling back from 3000 earlier in the day. He won the World schools XC 6k I think so quite an impressive range
