The best example is this nice running forum. I repeat myself, but i can't stress that enough, that we still have in 2023 no common running language to define intensities in a way that there is no missunderstanding and missinterpretation. That is subpar, and very bad for the development of the sport, training ideas and sharing of knowledge from athlete to athlete or coach to coach or athlete to coach. And again, i bring up the cycling example, because it is such a good example where a common language improved the discussion and the sport made a big jump forward. Running is now 10-20 years behind in communication and a common language would improve the running sport dramatically. It would be also helpful for scientific papers btw.
I really hope the purpose of this thread is now clear. I will reference to this answer in future, because two slides later there will be the same question upcoming :)
