I would pay $20 per DL event to watch the British broadcast although I’d miss Ato. It is infuriating to watch the 3K and SC and basically see a half mile with zero knowledge from the announcers.
how can I do this? I’m an Apple user and I’m older so I’m familiar with vpn but not how to use it
So you get a VPN like Nord VPN and then connect it to Ireland during Diamond Leagues. On YouTube search for Wanda Diamond League and the live stream will come up. I agree the British feed commentary is so much better.
You can also use VPN to watch Netflix in many other countries if you have a Netflix account. Like if there's a movie you want to see but it's not on American Netflix, google it and it'll say which country it may be shown in. Like South Korea Netflix has a ton of American award-winning movies.
since everyone says 3:26.85 converted is invalid, doesn't that mean the website has invalid claims? hence stupid website.
it can make a prediction but if everyone discredits it, then there's no point to it.
En-route means they got a split time at the 1500m mark in a race. Generally with a converted time you would say Ngeny could have run 3:26.85, but only ran 3:28 something.
3.28.12 for Hicham so at best 3.28.35 or so for Ngeny. And yes, with some factor of conversion we could say that Ngeny was considerably better than his 3.28.12 based on this, but it's hard to know what that is for top elites (it's not 18 seconds I am sure of that). Either way "en-route" is completely incorrect.
Back to the OP and the WR being a matter of when rather than if - it's still absolutely entrenched in that "if" stage. When implies it's 100% going to happen - that's ridiculous to say no matter how much we are or want to be fans of Jakob.
Today though was a huge step. 40.3 last 300 is now in the territory of what he needs to be in the final 1/5th of the race to do it. Before today he had never closed out any of these races in under 41.0 so this was impressive. For me it gives him some leeway with his 1200m split that previously I believed had to be sub 2.45 for him to do it. Not that it's that markedly different now but somehow 2.45.5/6 seems mentally easier to subscribe to than 2.44.8 or so. Today the pace drifted ever so slightly from 800-1200 where they ran 1.52.1 (back to back 56.1's), he's still going to have to be low 1.50 himself at 800 (not the pacers) and then run under 56 for the 3rd lap to even give himself a shot. 1.2 seconds at this level is no joke - it's not the same 1.2 seconds as going from 3.40 to 3.38.8 or even 3.31 to 3.29.8.
Looking at the schedule I wonder now if we are going to see another attempt from him this season. Post Budapest there is Zurich and Brussels with 1500m's - they are a week apart so he might run both 15's but is more likely going to run the 5000m in Zurich before going 1500 in Brussels and then the mile in Eugene at the final.
And Jakob is not even a pure 1500 guy (like Ngeny). JI is more of a 3k type moving down. Ngeny's resume does not compare...even with EPO.
Yes all the Africans were/are on EPO, but pure, pale Jakob is better than all of them AND clean as a whistle!! Just imagine- if all the Africans past and present didn't cheat not a single one of them would be within 5 seconds of him in the 1500m, not closer than 10 seconds in the 3k, and would be at least 15 seconds behind him in the 5000.
It's hard to believe [ well, not that hard], but it's true!! Wow.

El G never tested positive. He’s as clean as Jakob.
Was McSweyn contractually obligated not to finish? Otherwise, he looked pretty good at 1200m and probably could have PR'd even if the wheels came off in the last 300m.

Here's a serious question because you roll into every thread with your "the world is against the blacks" narrative, without fail, every time. So, are you even "non-white" yourself?
You're just the pits you know that right? Miserable underpant stain of a guy.
