I just don't understand the Sha'Carri supporters. She is a petulant child. She is disrespectful to anyone who challenges her. She is terrible role model for kids. And it's not about the flamboyance. Noah Lyles is flamboyant. He is a showman. But he is respectful to others. You know who else has some class? The Jamaicans. And I think Sha'Carri needs another helping of humble pie. She hasn't gotten enough.
Voice of reason. Nothing better than a redemption story and she has plenty of time to earn the respect some on here believes she deserves just for being fast. Noah is a great example of a black man, who has plenty of personality , performs with confidence and flamboyance yet he is respected and admired by most. Shatters the narrative put forth by the Sha'Carri fan club. Two things Noah has done that Sha'Carri hasnt: performed big on the international stage and treats others with respect.
Love her or hate her, look at all the buzz she generates. It’s her still untapped talent, her charisma, her craziness, her vulnerability, her honesty, her bs, her outlandishness. She’s amazing and a hot mess at the same time, and it’s pretty compelling entertainment. On this distance website how many threads and posts are devoted to her? It dwarfs anything else happening at nationals right now. I think it’s fair to predict that the women’s 100 final in Budapest is going to be the most hyped and watched event of the meet. SCR is good for the sport and I’m rooting for her to triumph.

“F bomb” bothers you on TV? There are literally people flying FJB flags in front of their homes—decorum has gone out the window for a good portion the nation.
Also, it may be a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy, but there are quite a few people that are highly critical of her and “out to get her,” just look at this thread.
People on here are taking about her fingernails! This has been part of women’s sprinting all the way back to Gail Devers and FloJo.
Oh, I agree with you. Her nails and her outfits don't bother me.
It is the amount of anger in our society that is not healthy. For some reason half our nation is out standing on a freeway overpass shouting and waving flags all the time. I am sort of in the "everyone needs to chill out" camp.
Her language in and of itself doesn't bother me. It is the way is is used to express the assumption that everyone is out to get her. Read this thread; it is 80% supportive. We want her to do well. We don't want her to be mad and crazy. That is what we want for our friends and our own kids. We are not haters for getting nervous when people start thumping their chests and ranting. That just isn't the behavior of a healthy, happy person.
They feel differently than you do about their life.
I do find that weird. Notice that none of them give credit to God when they don't win. If you are going to give God thanks, do so when you win and when you don't win.
ok, good....you think it's weird. So be it. We get it.....you don't like their lifestyle and their beliefs.
SAFP was running 10.6s pretty routinely last year. Richardson ought to keep that in mind before she lets that chip on her shoulder get too big.
The Jamaicans will bring her back down to earth, just as they have in the past.
Shericka Jackson is the one to beat. She dropped a 10.65 last night. ETH did not make the team and finished 5th. SAFP did not race and will take a wild card to WCs in the 100m. SAPF will have her first race of the season in the 200m at the Jamaican nationals this weekend. SAPF is a legend, but this season is not looking good. WCs are looking like Shericka v. SCR v. Ta Lou.
If SCR can get out of the blocks, she will be right there with Shericka Jackson and may even get the gold. I think SCR's last 30m are the best in the world right now. But she needs a much better start to be a lock for a gold.
I would advise you to think deeply. Think critically. From reading some of your posts, you seem to lack this capability but it is time you start learning.
If you only thank the divine when you win because you believe the divine helped you to win, then what does that say about you and your divine when you lose?

It appears to me that Richardson buckles under pressure. And Worlds will be even more pressured. Hope she can solve it by Worlds in Budapest because the Jamaicans have been bringing their A game for every final since 2008. I expect no difference from the Jamaicans in Budapest.

Who do the Jamaicans have?
Thompson is done. Can Pryce get that level again? Seems unlikely.
That leaves Jackson. Unless theres someone else thats ready to run a 10.7 or better, its just Jackson.
No doubt, she’s formidable, and the favorite for gold. But thats the only one that can beat Richardson, from what I see.
Giving it some thought and based on comments over a year ago. I believe taking the wig off was a message to Shelly-Ann-Frasier. Sha Carri is stating she doesn't need to be anyone but herself and the wigs come off. We're getting the real SCR. Shelly wears lots of different wigs and once said she wasn't stealing SCR's style.

Very well said! I couldn’t have said it better myself. She was trending on Twitter (positive) and made the whole America/world know USATF championship was happening. Multiple videos on TikTok and IG have already been created, Her wig moment was trending also reminiscent of WWE it was entertaining.

Not so respectful of others when he announces to the world he had covid on Monday and shows up in Eugene 2 days later to spread his cooties.
If my five favorite runners right now are Athing Mu, Noah Lyles, Yared Nuguse, and Kipchoge, but I "hate" Sha'carri, does that mean I am racist?
It has nothing to do with race. Everyone knows that. It has everything to do with that weirdly Trump-like combination of megalomania AND persecution complex. People who think they are way better than the rest of the world and at the same time are victims of the world.
We just want her to be happy and do well. Being "angry crazy" is not part of the game-plan for happiness.
Im sorry to say that, in todays world, yes, you are racist.
You may as well get started on your -“ Ive seen the error of my ways”- apology tour
“Beautiful, white, and fast. The black girls just could not stay with her, especially the black Jamaicans!”

In 2021, Richardson ran the following:
Heats:10.82/ Semi: 10.65w/ Final: 10.87
In 2023, Richardson ran:
Heats: 10.71/Semi:10.76/Final:10.82
Jackson and SAFP do the opposite by running:
Heats: Fast/Semi: Faster/Final: Fastest.
We don't know what form SAFP is in as yet, but if SAFP is in reasonable form, she will be in 10.7 shape at least. If she is in top form, she will be in 10.6 shape. Even if SAFP is in 10.7 shape, that's two Jamaicans Richardson will have to contend with. Then you have to factor in Ta'Lou, who is running faster than she ever has before and doing so consistently. That's at least 3 competitors Richardson will have to contend with.
If Richardson performs true to form, based on the pattern of performance she has demonstrated, she will buckle under the pressure at worlds, have a bad start and will run another 10.8 or 10.9 in the finals. while Ta'Lou, Jackson and SAFP will bring their A game running their PBs or close to them. Ergo, The USA will be shut out from the medals again. Richardson is the only one who can change that outcome. She has the raw talent to run 10.5s I believe, and be the dominant sprinter for quite a while, but she needs to be able to do so on the biggest stages. If she cannot do so against her country women who were not in the same class, how do you expect her to do so against stiffer competition? I don't, because she has not demonstrated that she has that killer drive that makes champions. I hope she proves me wrong in Budapest.

He was cleared by medical authorities. Chill and stop trying to flag a dead horse.
