This is not true at all in my case.
I had the 235 for quite a few years and it’s true it always had that weird inaccuracy running in downtown. But most of the time the gps was fine.
I happened to be looking for a new watch recently and really “made an effort” to get a Coros due to the low price.
however, among other weird stuff I read about it, the delay in displaying real pace was the dealbreaker for me. I dont care if I don’t need to use real time pace for my workouts, my 10yo 235 was always perfectly accurate in showing me my pace. I couldn’t accept the fact that I should buy the watch plus another item to have the same thing I’ve always had.
I went for a 265 instead. And here is where I respectfully think you are most wrong. The 265 GPS accuracy is insane!
You can see even the side of the trail you ran. It is a huge improvement over the 235 which was already good.
in my opinion, it can’t get much better than that. Well, it certainly doesn’t need. It’s spot on.
also, the HRM improvement is mind blowing. 235 wasn’t good. I have a HR strip and the 265 it’s just equal to the strip. I love this watch already. Looking forward to have it for many years to make the $$ worth.
