it's too early to say with Cali but I would assume they also have 5 top 30 teams. I wish NXN combined NY and Northeast and gave out 2 more at large bids so that each of the 3 regions can take 4 teams to NXN
Fairport NY and Auburn NY both had 4 guys 170 or above at McQuaid
Region and their individual runner's speed ratings boys - California Region - 1,3,4,9,17,22,47,62,67,70,72,85,94,100 Southwest Region - 6,13,32,69,71,75,77,78,80, Northwest Region - 15,58,66,89, Southeast Region - 7,10,11,18,...
Will any of the third place teams in those regions have a chance at an at-large?
Depends on how smart the nxn committee is. Realistically, 0 bids should go to midwest or heartland. However, nxn might give 1 bid to midwest because they finished 1 point behind 2nd place team. The team average is too bad though. 15:40 on La Verne Gibson isn't going to cut it this year.

NXR Northwest should get a bid.
And also Plainfield South has beaten Plainfield North during the regular season.
The thing is, in 2012, at NXR SE, the 2nd and 3rd teams were tied and there was no at large there. I think the 3rd and 4th SW teams and a 3rd CA team deserve an NXN spot over Plainfield South.
Plainfield North will probably finish somewhere around 20th.
Can the York girls team get an at-large? They won the state meet. On the girls side, I think 2 at-larges will be from the Southwest, and 1 from CA. 4th at-large spot will be up for grabs
It'd be even better if they did get a bid and then got exposed.
They took 4th in the region.
If there 2 bids from the Northwest and 2 from the Southwest, there will have to be 0 bids in the California region
Going into state, I don't think anyone outside of Great Oak and Dana Hills in California is "deserving" of an NXN bid, any more than Franklin and Rocky are.

Oakdale maybe San Clemente if they pull it all together and are close enough in the merge to Great Oak.

I think this is fair considering rocky/franklin team time was pretty solid. wish we had more bids so everyone in the west can get 2 bids
