I checked with coaches in the state. The Transfer is Aldamak from Ames who finished 47th at state in 16:39.
Sorry I started rumors, I see his best from last season was 16:06 So My guess is he could go a 15:45_15:55. Impressive top 5 to 7 for cf.
I think they will finish 2nd with him.

Could be in the running for a 1st imo. Should be interesting season!

Heard he went 15:50 road 5k yesterday
Yes
Nobody will be close to Dowling. They will have 3 in the top 8. I think they will be 2nd at NXR behind Steven's Point.

Wayzata won NXR last year and they return 6 of their top 7. Dowling Catholic lost their 1&2
Wayzata lost their 1 and 7. Dowling would have easily qualified if it were not for a guy losing his shoe early in the race.

Who does Dowling have left, I thought Flori and Derocher was about it.
Pulling out seniors from the state meet
1 Flori (Dowling)
2 Maloney
3 Zuber
4 Schermerhorn
5 Derocher (Dowling)
13 Wolfe (Dowling)
35 Bootman (Dowling)
How do you predict CF to win without knowing the transfer or the competition?

Dowling also has incoming senior Wainwright who was the first one off varsity last XC season and ran a 10:03 3200 / 4:36 1600 during track.
Also incoming junior Mohan who ran a 10:14 in the 3200 / 4:41 1600
Also incoming sophomore Paulsen who ran a 10:20 3200 / 4:42 1600
Also another incoming junior Burr who ran a 4:39 1600

If you’re going to talk about teams other than Stevens Point and Wayzata that can qualify for NXN, one team to watch out for will be Wichita Trinity from KS.
They didn’t run NXR last year, but they have an 8:50 guy on the team (Shively) who could possibly be top-10 in the nation. They also return 9:20, 9:45, and 9:55 guys, and another 15:34 guy who didn’t run many outdoor races last spring. That’s an excellent scoring 5.

It takes 5 to score. Also at NXN, Wayzata’s 2-7 were nonseniors. They also return a 9:57 3200 incoming junior who wasn’t on their top 7 last year
Here are the 5k times that Wayzata returns:
15:30
15:31
15:35
15:50
15:52
16:37.6
16:37.9
Looks good but Dowling will be better.
Im not seeing any where close to the depth in Dowling that you see

I feel the top 3 will be hard to predict, I dont personally think any team is a lock this year for a title, But the transfer was named a few post ago.

Dowling has superior coaching. And they always find a new fast guy.
