I sort of hope the Nuggets win the series but I just slapped down 25k on the Lakers to win the series after the game 1 loss. You know the league wants LeBron in another finals. Lakers/Celtics historic rivalry. The nba gets what it wants.

Doh!
Don't worry. Money is nothing to this tycoon playboy.
Denver Nuggets now get NINE days of rest before the NBA Finals begin. LeBron tried tonight but it was not enough. This was likely his last chance at a 5th NBA championship.
I would vote AD as better right now, but that we're even having this discussion shows the unbelievable career Lebron has had. At Lebron's current age of 38, Jordan had retired twice and was playing for the Wizards. Bird had retired by 38. Kobe (RIP) had retired. Even Kareem, who aged famously well, had his last 20 ppg season at 38.
Meanwhile Lebron, who has been in the league since 19, is perhaps still as good as Davis, a 29-year-old future Hall of Famer. GOAT rankings aside, Lebron's career is utterly unique.
No, Jordan was not playing for the Wizards at the same age.
Jordan was born in Feb 17, 1963. Lebron was born Dec 30, 1984. So Jordan is essentially 22 years older than Lebron.
Lebron's 2022 - 23 season is the equivalent of Jordan's 2000 - 01 season - when he was retired.
Lebron next year will be the same age as Jordan was in his first year with the Wizards.

Not necessarily.
I don't particularly like Lebron. And comparisons to MJ are insane (for anyone who was an adult, seeing both of them in their primes).
BUT, Lebron could still win another one or two, IF they have the right players around him. He has slowed down too much to carry a team on his shoulders. But he is still good enough to be an important piece of a championship team.
The modern day NBA is a disgrace. The rules set in place to allow players to score more points is a huge step back from the old days. They needed to change things to try and attract more fans.
