And some of us are tired with the facile ridicule of people of faith. Regimes and entities that were or are agnostic, atheistic, or otherwise opposed to traditional religions have been, by very, very, very, far, the biggest killers of innocent human beings in history. Hitler (had plans to kidnap Pope Pius XII), Lenin and Stalin (repressed Jews, Catholics, Russian Orthodox Christians, and others), Mao (instituted atheism), and Margaret Sanger (founder of what became Planned Parenthood - opposed the teaching of Catholicism, Protestantism and Orthodox Judaism) had a huge role in the deaths of hundreds of millions (Sanger especially).
My point is that in some of these cases of gun violence, a basic discounting of human life is involved, whereas people of faith usually try to have some regard for others, a regard that criminal shooters often lack.
Further, many proposals of the gun control advocates seem likely to do little to prevent crimes while sometimes preventing legitimate defense of self or others.
FYI: Germany was very much a Christian nation when they legally voted Hitler into office.
Yeah, they should have voted for the Communists instead.

Please refer to:
1) Holy wars in which Christians and Muslims slaughtered each other by the tens of millions in the name of, you guessed it, God.
2) Aztecs, whose ritual slaughter of thousands daily was performed in the name of, you guessed right again, God.
3) Spanish and Portuguese conquerors of the new world who butchered tens of millions and often blew their brains out immediately upon the "savages" conversion to Christendom in order to "save their souls for eternity."
4) The support of Hitler and his German Nazi savages by the "Holy" Roman Church.
4) Islamic holy warriors of today who are often known by a different name (terrorists).
5) Russian Orthodox Church of today condoning the ruthless slaughter of Ukrainians in order to fulfill who's will again - oh yeah, that would be God's will.

Got anything else? Or would you simply like to concede the point that those who don't pray might have greater respect for human life than those who do pray, and lack of respect for human life is a big part of the violence problem in the USA.
Or perhaps you really do have specific evidence that says otherwise but you have simply been hiding it.
And Pope Francis warned Russian Patriarch Kirill not to be Putin's altar boy. There is often trouble when governments control religious communities. Certainly that's been the case in the Soviet Union and Russia. And in China with the Communists interfering in the selection of religious leaders. In the USA, the Obama Administration and the Biden Administration have tried to strip religious entities and individuals with or without religious affiliation of conscience protections to force them to provide and insure artificial contraception and direct abortion. The Little Sisters of the Poor sued and won at the US Supreme Court against provisions in the Affordable Care Act.

According to Wikipedia, about 200,000 Aztecs were killed, many by smallpox, in the Spanish conquest. Many of the dead were Aztec warriors. Can you provide a credible citation for your "butchered tens of millions" claim?
If we want to include civilians killed by Hitler in WWII, we definitely get into the multiple tens of millions.
The mother of the 6-year-old who shot his teacher at an elementary school in Newport News, Virginia, spoke exclusively Wednesday on ABC's "Good Morning America."
-parent attended school with the child because of his disability until just prior to the shooting (they felt he was doing well so stopped)
-parent said her child liked the teacher, but felt he was being ignored, so he shot her
-teacher sued school administrators and school board saying they were aware of the child's history of random violence and did not take action
-parents won't discuss how child got the gun
-child won't be charged
I disagree with not charging the child, but I can see why the state doesn't feel he should be held responsible for his actions. The parent absolutely should be charged though. The parents absolutely should not be allowed to own firearms, nor should the child - even when he comes of age.
Something is wrong with the way the school handled the child. Education experts tell me that in no event have they seen an IEP plan for a child which involved the parents attending school with the child. Why this was deemed acceptable is a mystery. For whatever reason the school did not want to provide a 1 to 1 aide, which was clearly needed.
The teacher is litigating against the district but will have a challenge with workers comp pre-emption.
