Gotta say valby. Seems to be better at interviews and speaking.
What does speaking and interviews have to do as a runner? Who ever is faster would be more remarkable, no cares how goo you talk
That said, Tuohy does just fine in interviews and she has a dynamic personality. She has a great smile and is easy to smile.
Both of these runners will be marketable as professionals and will have good careers. There seems to be a lot of objectification of both athletes going on in this thread - comparing the looks of the athletes, how they talk and carry themselves, how smart they are, etc.
Semihaze, I know that you're probably the biggest fan of Tuohy on these forums. You seemed to call Valby's intelligence into question with an earlier response of "using her brain" when she answers questions. That isn't cool and is the further objectification of a woman athlete. I would have to believe that if Parker Valby is attending UF she has some smarts. I'm a Tuohy fan as well but I think pitting these two against each other is rather fruitless. Both are outstanding and both will be marketable once they go pro.
I didn't see that but it is a pretty stupid take. The person that made the comment either did it tongue-in-cheek or is dumb.
Tuohy & Vaby both seem to have it together and have good heads on their shoulders. Both are also getting good advice. I'm not quite sure why their intelligence is in discussion as both probably have more intelligence than most that post on these forums,
She is lying again and should be permanently banned for bigotry. She accuses Valby of doping and now is bigoted by claiming that blonde women are dumb. She would be gone if she that about any other race.

the girl who just says "same with her' and calls it an answer? haha yea sure valby does a really good job at using her brain
Yeah, I don't get that at all Katelyn is super articulate, thoughtful, mature beyond her years especially with respect to the amount of attention/pressure she faces, etc. If I was the parent of any young kid, boy or girl, runner or not, I would be happy to point to KT as a role model for how to conduct oneself in the public eye.
Tuohy seems like 'one of us.' She's clearly a runner, acts like a runner, thinks like a runner...would probably be running even if she were mediocre. To me her authenticity is her superpower that will help her with pro contracts. Valby still has to prove that.
Plus KT has been in the public eye for 4ish years already...she has a fan base built already. Proven quantity.
Tuohy just signed a NIL deal with Adidas...they think highly of her, clearly.

I wonder how many Arc Trainers have sold just from Parker's (and her coach's) interviews. If CYBEX (manufacturer of the Arc Trainer) had a sizable advertising budget, with NIL rules, Parker could possibly become the spokes person of CYBEX immediately.
Even better possibly, would be for Parker to become the 'face' of NordicTrack, or even PELETON. Her aerobic-machine training has already become legendary in the running world, and her genuine blue collar approach to the sport could cross over to multiple sports, for general aerobic fitness.

Just an idea, and something to think about.
Acquisition by Life Fitness As of January 20, 2016, Cybex International, Inc. was purchased by Brunswick Corporation for $195 million.[1] As part of this purchase, Cybex is to join the Life Fitness portfolio of fitness brands along with Life Fitness, Hammer Strength, InMovement, SciFIT, and Indoor Cycling Group (ICG).[2] (Wikipedia)
Depends who your target audience is. I suspect my priorities as a female athlete of similar age are different from those of more health/lifestyle-oriented people, hardcore NCAA followers, etc. (and, ahem, certain people on this forum.)
in any case I expect the competition between the two is actually of mutual benefit, rather than taking away from their individual desirability.
