So I'm a 34yo guy who usually dates women my age or even a couple years older (I am mature for my age partially because I was surrounded by people older than me growing up). However, I went out with a 25yo about 2 months ago now, and we hit it off immediately. Not only is there a lot of physical chemistry, but we both genuinely like each other a lot, and honestly, she's WAY more mature than the vast majority of women I've gone out with. For instance, I dated a 34yo for 6 months about a year ago, and this new girl is far more mature and with it than that woman was... It's easy for me to forget the age difference because I never think about it. We talk and do things and have fun. Everything has been great so far (though of course it's still early).
All that being said, and I really don't care about this but am just wondering what to expect, will people think it's weird at all given the 9 year age gap? I know there are bigger gaps out there, but 9 is by far the largest I've ever had. Anyone been in a relationship like this around this age? Does anyone care these days?
I was 36 years old when I met my future wife who was 27 years old at the time. We have been married for 29 years and have been very happy, and no one has ever given either one of us any grief because of age difference.
If you love her and she loves you, that's all that matters. Anyone that has an age issues can go take a long walk off of a short pier. You only live once. Be happy with your life. And Good Luck!
