Alabama looks really strong this year. 5th might be a little behind. But they return everyone next year except for their #1

What was the course record? Anyone know? Also, is there a link to the video?
Seriously, how come all these high school races get coverage on milesplit that the NCAA can't even have decent coverage! Honestly, it's like they intentionally try to make it unwatchable and not be able to be a fan!

Don't watch it, it's literally the worst footage ever of a sporting event! I'd rather watch the rain run down a drain
They are very good. But I would caution the NCSt does not train to win in September. Last year you had athletes from other schools look impressive in this race then fall apart as the season progressed.
Sounds like NC State, Oklahoma state, New Mexico and Alabama are podium locks now?
I looked at history and best I saw was 16:01 (Kelati and Krgat in different years). I provided link in some thread.

but not NM as I recall - they ran well at nationals
But NCSt ran better. And of course no Chmiel.
Anyway, Tuohy beating Chelangat by this much of a margin (assuming the timing is correct) and destroying the course record was super impressive. People may have forgotten but she was an even better crosscountry runner than a track runner. Now it will all come down to who is healthy in November. Again.
What the heck is up with Nevada Moreno? Didn't she finish runner-up a couple of times at FL? She finishes a minute behind the top NC State runners.
I don't know... Alabama and OSU don't have much depth, if they lose one runner forget about it Colorado will pass them bye, maybe even Stanford or A suprise... Wouldn't call either a lock
New Mexico has 1 junior and 0 seniors in top 6. Wow!!!!!
Tuohy obliterated the other best distance runner over final K

Was Stanford running their full lineup? They got 5th
Sights set on the 4x1500 relay in 6 months! Everything else this year is gravy to her!

Having a so called major competition in your sport and its on a Friday morning running around a golf course. Of course the sport has zero fans in attendance.
Alabama does have their patented 23 year old international freshmen recruiting in full effect. We make fun of BYU but what Alabama does is a complete farce. They are exploiting a loophole that needs to be closed.

Very true, although a 5K, NC St with Chmiel has a 30 s 1-5 spread with a very fast 1. OSU 1-4 spread was 27 s and 1-5 was about 50 s. Big difference in championship.
Assuming they don't have Chmiel, they also did not race Shaw, Quarzo or Hartman today. Not sure Mareno will be their "fifth" although she pretty good today.
