I'm disappointed that all the heroes who like to let it all hang out have stopped at the point of championing running shirtless. Come on guys - who needs shorts! You've got it, show it! I know you want to.
No. I don’t care at all what you or anybody else thinks. Fat women of all ages wear the most disgusting tight outfits often with their belly showing to malls, dining establishments, schools etc. Why should I care what someone thinks when I have to see that trash wherever I go?
I don't know what you look like but you certainly qualify as misogynistic trash.
Double standards are great.. The OP complains about men, but thats ok i guess. Armstrong-doper.
I don´t get why body weight should be an issue. Same goes for women in sport bra.
If it is to show off it is not a high class behavior. If it is not on a beach and I plan to bask in the sun or get into the water I would keep my shirt on regardless on how fit I am.
end of thread. Mind your own business people...unless your business is people watching lol

Maybe from about the age of about 14-21 a fit guy with a shirt off might be considered attractive to a female. But if you don't fall into that category put your damn shirt on when you run. Nobody wants to see your gut hanging out, man boobs and hair like you are chewbacca. It is a freeking eyesore and you look like a goof. Think about other people that have to look at you instead of your own selfishness.

Not enough people pointing out that this guy is saying that 14 year old might be considered attractive? Isn't there a special word we have for people who consider 14 year olds attractive???

Keep your perversions to yourself.
I can understand that you wouldn't have much to brag about in that department.

Definitely true if you fall in the category of "man boobs," "beer gut," "love handles," etc. That's embarrassing & definitely a turn off to women.
But if you got the bod, regardless of age, go for it. Bodybuilders are always prancing around shirtless. 💪

Actually that's a big no. You by no means represent humanity. Your statement says a lot more about you than anyone else. Ever heard of lookism? Look it up or here let me help you out - it's prejudice or discrimination based on physical appearance and especially physical appearance believed to fall short of societal notions of beauty.
Damn I wish people wouldn't have such crazy reactions to people running with minimal clothing. Like....can't a woman run in a sports bra (despite her weight because why does that matter?) if she wants?? "No one wants to see that" ok so don't look??
Same goes for guys - if a heavier guy wants to run with his shirt off then let him?? Let people wear what they want. It is not this difficult.
Weight DOES matter.
Only skinny hot runner women should wear sports bras, not fatties.
It is painfully obvious that there will be no mass conversion of shirtless male runners anytime soon. Which is disappointing. But if we can just get one male runner to put their shirt on in consideration of others, I will count this thread as a success.
Think about that young family playing in the park. Or that old veteran that likes to feed the birds on is favorite bench by the lake. What a wonderful act of kindness for them to not have to look at your upper half when they simply want to enjoy nature and the wonderful views. I wish this wasn't the case, but frankly the male upper body is not attractive. It just isn't. I did not make those rules. And I know you are very proud of the fact that your body fat is lower than the general population. But if you put a camera on yourself running without a shirt, the flab and bouncing and the general repulsiveness of it might give you a better perspective as to what you are subjecting your fellow citizens to. Give it a try. Granted, nobody is going to come up and thank you. But rest assured, you will feel good knowing that you are a kind person that has put others happiness and well being before yourself and contributed to a beautiful society.

A teenager? Clearly the point was that 14 year olds are attractive to other 14 year olds, whereas beyond some upper age limit shirtless men aren't attractive. 21 years old seems absurdly low though.

It seems that there is a lot more insecurity about the human body now than in previous generations. We've been programmed by airbrushed, Botoxed, hair colored, cosmetic surgery, photoshopped photos of models to think that everyone should look that way.
Here's the secret. Even those models don't look that way in real life.
I was at the track last week and a 91-year-old man was there shirtless. We talked for a while about the upcoming Senior games. It never once occurred to me to think, "Put on a shirt." If not wearing a shirt helps him to show up and get in a workout, then that's fine by me.
It's already been pointed out but needs to be further emphasized. ...The average US adult male is 20 pounds heavier than in 1984. ...The obesity rate has quadrupled in that span.
The insecurities you mention are rooted in the fact that most of us know how fat we are now, not just a shift in puritanical values. Society and specifically "wokeism" tries to tell us that "fat is beautiful" now despite the fact that fat is completely unhealthy. Fat fashion currently is pushing that the fat female (curvey!) is beautiful despite being both gross and unhealthy. ...All in the name of soothing "mental health" issues of being fat.
Fat is gross. Fat is unhealthy. Fat is from indulgence and lack of self control. Fat is going to break our health care system. Health insurance should be more expensive and harder to get for obese people. ....If they go shirtless, try should be arrested!
Fit people SHOULD go shirtless more often so we can start to display health and beauty and help turn the tide against the tyranny of the fatties!
