Why should he have to answer any questions about other people? Grant is very transparent about himself. He is the nicest guy, humble, articulate, and he has a great head on his shoulders. He is not the kind of person to get drawn into a slanderous situation but he is the type of person to give heaps of praise to those he appreciates.
If you were in his shoes, would you like to field negative questions about situations out of your control, other people, and negativity? If that were to happen, you would probably get tired of it and never want to speak to that person/reporter/writer again. If someone posted a question the way you suggest and essentially why we should believe you - what would be your reaction? Those would be fighting words to me.
Enjoy Grant for who he is, what he just accomplished, and look forward to his entertaining you with his athletic achievements. Listen to his interviews, his half step podcast, read articles about him and enjoy his being a roll model for our sport. A guy like him doesn’t come around often and our sport needs more like him.
