That part is fine coz what else can a pro runner really say when someone wants to know what they do for a job? Just saying I’m a runner doesn’t make it clear that you make money through it because people automatically (and reasonably) assume that most people are not good enough runners to be earning from it. You could maybe say that “pro” sounds a tiny bit more arrogant than “professional” because the former, in addition to being a shortening of the latter, also means being really good at something (true as that may be in her case).
