Elite only start is beyond lame. It's like some stupid thing they'd do in England.

That looks like a slow start ?
Quality not so good now, well good enough.
Who's the runner commentating ? Meb ?
Bernard Lagat
It’s not just ESPNs coverage, its the Marathon’s Coverage. There is no clock. They only have splits every 5km, no live tracking, we have ZERO clue what is happening anywhere on the course.
Looks like ghebreslassie and gebre aren’t there
Can't wait till John Anderson breaks out his, "My Dad used to say: 'John, the men are talking now,'" phrase. We'll hear him say it sometime during the 1st avenue surge.

Still no time clock???
What else is new ? Getting a timer or gxd forbid a distance countdown practically NEVER happens, let's keep an eye on the tracker, now where is that link...
That stream is horrible, just use the ESPN2 one that's been posted 10 times already !!!

Yeah, and now we only get 10 seconds of the men's race cause they have to show the masses start. I rather have them cover the women's masses by saying they'll also give prize money to anyone who breaks the top whatever in time, even though it's a separate race, because it's not gonna happen anyway.
Seth on the line in wave2.
I couldn't get the ESPN one to work. GO BEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNN!
Someone's trying to break away in the men's race. But who knows. Can't see.

I am waiting for these too.
We will get them later.
No offence but I just CANNOT abide American commentary and coverage. I'm not home so I can't watch my usual packages. Someone, please find us a better link. Meanwhile, I'm muting the audio.

Thanks, they could have found a guy with no "blemish" on his resumé to commentate on national television.
Ah here's an overview of the course and now one giant ad no doubt.
Seidel just hit 10K in 35:03

He got a LOT of screen time. Who was the guy that looked like a hobby jogger? Yankees hat and cotton t-shirt with sleeves cut off.
And the guy with his phone and no watch
No scholarship limits anymore! (NCAA Track and Field inequality is going to get way worse, right?)
